Why would a 8 year old be walking unattended? Oh yeah, I remember, we ran the streets too, unattended at that age. We were all over the place in a small city, but still a city. I remember several times cars pulling up ( always men) trying to get me to get in the car. I refused. When I told my mom, she just said not to get in the cars. All three of us continued to roam around wherever we wanted. Lucky to be alive today really.

We were allowed to play out unsupervised because our parents warned us over and over - so we knew to keep ourselves safe. My parents loved me as much as any parents could As a result we had freer more adventurous, less coddled childhoods. Also the average decent adult was willing to intervene and put a stop to anything that seemed dodgy regarding children- every child's safety was an adult's business. Very few children were ever abducted or killed and the law here in the UK was especially hard on child murderers - when they wound up in prison the other prisoners despised them and treated them like pariahs. It seems more recently that the law went soft on child killers. Sadly psychopaths like Alcala often learn a kind of superficial charm which could take in a more naive child.

Why did her nanny not take her to school that day? It's "Puerto Vallarta", not "Puerta Vallarta".

Dude is charismtaic. He laughs and smiles so much. Jokes around. Is goofy. I think this is the most dangerous kind. Im not surprised she chose him on the show. However, he was not that good at keeping the façcade if she dumped him after their date. Wonder what it was. Still have to watch the series.

She never went on the date, she told the show producers she had a bad feeling bout him, and backed out. May saved her life

I grew up in Mexico. I walked to the school every day unaccompanied by an adult, the same the other kids, and never happened us anything. We were poor but happy people. Those were good days.

I had a man pick me up. I always felt God saved me that day. The man told me he knew my parents. He even said their names and described them. Later found out he was a pastor. never know where perverts hide
