this got updated on the balance guide to be a Keen->Brutal->NM opener

It got updated specifically to Lightning Shot - Keen - Brutal - NM. If you're going to facepull you can still Trajectory-123 or run in with a Keen Edge macro 123 then NM to keep in line with buffs. That doesn't mean this opener is bad or won't be used but I'll be having a video up on the other one as well soon. The general gameplay is still the same though with 12NM you'll have to Sonic as your 9th GCD on the odd minute no mercies basically no matter what

@Mrtll it can go earlier but at 900 potency it's not as big of a deal as it used to be now that we don't have filler in there That being said it looks scary but it should fit every time

its good to put it there since putting it anywhere before that means your losing that last hypervelocity inside NM

If you slightly delay no mercy to the second half of the gcd the timer will still be at 1 when you get to that part of the rotation making it less scary. Here he is instantly cancelling in to it which is fine but that’s why the end of the opener is so tight.

You had to have kept them there from before the combo was consolidated, there's no way to do it now.

thoughts on 1-2-No Mercy+Bloodfest-Gnashing openers? From my (limited) experience, everything always gets under NM and there's never any overcapping afaik, but I'd love to be proven wrong n have something to learn c:

No Mercy 1st ogcd loses you the 9th GCD 100% If raid buffs are 4th gcd you'll have Gnashing outside of buffs, if they're 3rd gcd then you're fine 12 NM will also mean every odd minute ends in Sonic Break in order to clutch the Hypervelocity, whereas 123NM means you can end your window on filler most of the time and sonic earlier

With 2.46 you want to alternate early and late weaving No Mercy. Late weave on even minute windows, early weave on odd minutes to 8 GCD the non buff windows then late weave NM for the even minute burst windows for 9 GCD buffs!

@Ravenson 2.4x for sure! I just happened to meld 2.40 for it, but you can do 2.43 or whatevs floats your boat

@hyperionmetalcore 2.4-2.44 is fine. Upto 2.47 it can be done but it's tighter. This opener can still be used but a few days ago staff decided on earlier raid buffs, you can do 12BFNM now and rock it that way. Prio system is still the same as this opener but odd minutes NEED to sonic 9th or you lose the Burst's HV

@@RinKarigani 12BFNM has some weird interactions with NM and cartidges. You usually have NM up when you have to spend a cartidge or cap it with 3 and its driving me crazy cause I dont really know how to addapt it. If I do Burst strike NM and then Gnashing 3 I drift Double Trouble and If I burst strike NM 3 I drift Gnashing.

@@RinKarigani 1 bloodfest 2 3 and then from this all that follows then at minute two I enter with the 3 at minute 4 without and so on

If you do 1 bloodfest 2 3 you overcap your carts which is a loss for no reason You should always enter your 2 minutes with 3 cartridges at faster GCDs because it works out smoothly if you 123NM, faster than that and you'll find yourself going in with 2 carts which isn't bad you just have to DD before GF so you can bloodfest or delay Enter 2.5 with 2 carts so you can start with an extra ogcd after early weave NM

@@RinKarigani And look, I meant the opening as we do in some fights in ew, I certainly didn't mean to lose a cartridge... Make 2 Stay on 3 like we did in Endwalker in practice... I tried it even before seeing it here, this classic, let's say and honestly you know what it is, if you always enter with 3 how do you do it doesn't make sense, in practice the changes made to the class are not exploited at all, as well as how the boss leaves, you stay there in the rotation and it takes quite a while before coming back XD
