Wow you are planting so early. There is so much satisfaction in growing your own veg. Now have Peter build you a little hen cottage. You would love 3 or 4 hens. I have had both vaccinations and I am so grateful. Science is wonderful!

I might suggest a soaker hose where the entire hose has tiny holes. It distributes the water more evenly. It is not very expensive and works quite well.

Old trick from my Grandmother: Make grooves in the cucumber by repeatedly running a fork down the sides of the cucumber, placing the “lines created by the fork tines side by side,then your “circle cuts” resemble flowers! Hope that makes sense. Just a simple “prettying” trick😍

Keep the coffee pods in a Zip Lock freezer bag and keep it in the freezer. Take one out when you want a cup of coffee! Keeps it fresh and no thaw time.

1st vaccine, arm a little sore. 2nd shot, Arm very sore as well as muscles, joints, headache, fever, but only lasted on day 2. Worth it to have the protection.

Its best to start to water before daylight then stop before sundown so the roots don’t rot. But you woukd be surprised how little water a veggie garden needs , check with the local Extension office near you and they should be able to be more precise. There is a big rain event starting tomorrow in your area for Wed and Thursday stay safe🙏🏼🥰

Hi guys! It’s been a busy Guide & Scout day here today! A courier dropped off a very heavy package of Guide and Ranger resources and badges first thing, which took me a good hour to sort into badge delivery packages for the girls. We’ll deliver them once our second package of badges arrive, hopefully before the weekend. I wrote the Guide and Ranger newsletters, which took me about 3 hours and we also spent time with our Scouts on Zoom this evening. We’re both pooped! xxxxxxxxxxxx

make sure to be very well hydrated when you go! i learned my lesson getting the shot when i was dehydrated the first time, cuz who's gonna say no to being the first in my town from the wait list, it was quite a ride 12 hours after the shot and didn't really calm down until my sister and boyfriend made me some food and got me plenty to drink. i made sure to drink alot of limeade before and after my second shot and it was easy. just a hot shower and a nap. even worked that day. stay hydrated, take your vitamins, basically give your immune system the best chance to take this on without going overboard

I do the same. I bought a pack of 5 and they have lasted 18 months so far. I refill all at once and I'm good for a few days. Still saves me money even though I sometimes splurge on the fancy coffee grounds. 😋

I felt worse after my second dose but the sore arm lasted 3 days but I felt bad for 2 days after second shot I have a physical disability and asthma so I was able to get one relatively soon I'm greatful because I'm high risk too congratulations on your first dose!💕

If you drink plenty of fluids and electrolytes it seems to help relieve and even prevent some of the side effects. Just don't make the mistake i did on my first shot getting it while dehydrated 10/10 don't recommend. But 10/10 totally down plenty of your favorite sports drink or limeade. Did the trick for my 2nd dose and was really easy

Iv e had both Modern a shots 1st time just a sore arm 2nd shot a little achy and tired the next day. Arm was less sore. I have COPD and covid would kill me.

Got my 2nd Moderna shot yesterday. I am 76yrs old. Had less symptoms with the second shot. With the first, I thought my arm was going to fall off, it was so sore. And I was exhausted, slept all day and a half. But in 48 hours all was back to normal. With second shot arm, not so bad. But had same exhaustion and lower back pain. In 48 hours amazingly all is well. Strange. You’ll be better 48 hours after your shot.

being dehyrdated makes the reactions more intense. Learned my leason after getting my first dose fron the wait list while dehydrated and drank plenty of fluids and ate well for the second dose. The second dose was easy. just take care of yourself so that your immune system is ready to take it on

I got the J&J 1 dose on Wednesday and I got really sick for about 30 hours, had a 102 fever, a headache, chills, muscle and bone aches and major fatigue.

@@guysgurl13 i know it's super anecdotal but just eat well and have plenty of electrolytes. Of course, whatever is a healthy amount for you, don't go too crazy! I have a rare heart condition that i have to drink more water than most people, so i just did a bit more than my normal. Just don't be dehydrated and should be ok

I was told to have the vaccine in the arm I don’t sleep on, the SORE arm was my only symptom...from the first vaccine, the second vaccine gave me a 102* temp, chills, horrible aches that lasted about 36 hours.

Yeah, when I get my flu shots, the nurses often ask if I'm right or left handed, and when I say "left", they usually reach for my right arm to give the shot since it's my non-dominant side. I tell them I want it in my left arm because I sleep on my right side.

I have not received my covid-19 injection yet. I have COPD and I was not sure how I felt about getting the injection due to fear of any side effects and how it would affect my COPD if at all. I see you have got your first one and so far just sore arm to the injection site which yes does cause some pain. If you can do it so can I. Thanks for sharing and keep updated on how you do. seems drinking electrolytes helps with the side effects. I have asthma and a history of hospitalization with pneumonia. The 2nd shot i made sure to drink plenty of fluids and ate really healthy so it wasn't a big deal. I was on the wait list so i was pretty run down from not drinking enough that day and didn't have to to prepare when i got my first shot. drink plenty of fluids and eat healthy. really made a difference and seems others had a similar experience of side effects being reduced by drinking a gatorade or in my case limeade

I watch the country life vlogg, and she has to go to the field to . Get all the vegetables she is using for dinner. While husband is finding wood, and chopping it down to small wood pieces.. Then he is making a pile to start a fire. And goes to find, herbs to make tea for dinner. Then mom brings vegetables to, and brings water from the stream to wash veggies. It shows all the things you have to do to have dinner. We have it all so easy. To grind her meat she is pounding it with a big sharp knife over and over. As she keeps folding it. After looks like ground hamburger. We just get it from the market already ground up. Wow

I got my first shot of the vaccine on Thursday and the same day I traveled to Oklahoma from Texas. I am autistic and don’t really like riding in car rides because it makes me anxious. I also felt run down from getting the shot. Now I’m wondering if it was the vaccine that was running me down or the fact that I was in the car for several hours straight. I’m glad that I am not alone in that regards.

When H1N1 was a big scare many years ago my arm hurt like heck after my vaccine. My kids were moving their arm and were fine but I could barely move my arm after it for days. I won't be surprised of it hurts once I can get this one

I had the Johnson and Johnson one shot only vaccine. I felt tired for about three days and my mouth felt like I had thrush. that’s it. But I have RA so my body might react differently than a person without an immune issue.

exactly!!! so it wasn't just me who tried the electrolyte trick! i knew i was crazy dehydrated when i got the call for the 1st shot and it was quite the 12-24 hour ride. second shot, downed nearly a gallon of limeaid and was right as rain after an hour nap and a hot shower, even worked that day

Yes, my sister, who is treating for cancer right now, just had her first shot late last week, and she said her arm was really painful to the point of getting up in the night to take Tylenol...other than that, she’s felt fine.....I think she was told that the reason for the soreness is the shot has to go into the muscle. A Tetanus shot is hard on the arm, too...hugs to both of you, cuddles and kisses to the fur babies!

glad to hear she got the shot. i got mine when i was really dehydrated sicne i was called from the wait list, 10/10 don't do that! seems me and a few otehrs learned that drinking something with electrolytes seems to help with the side effects. 2nd shot was alot easier because i made sure i was very well hydrated and had plenty of good nutrition so my immune system was ready for the challenge. hope everyone you love is safe and will have their turn soon!

I must be really lucky because I didn't notice any bad side effects from my first dose of the vaccine. I thought I had a headache but I usually have one. Also, did not notice any pain in my arm. But then again I usually have pain in my joints and am so used to it I didn't notice anything different. Lets hope the second one is just as easy.

try registering my multiple zip codes. you can also do what i did and leave your name and phone number with the pharmacist in case they have extra doses that would otherwise be spoiled. that's how i got mine the day after christmas... trust me... survivors guilt is real. make sure to drink plenty of fluids and electrolytes. made my 2nd shot so much easier than the 1st

Glad your feeling good 1 day after getting your COVID19 shot. Look forward to the update in 2 weeks when you get your second shot. This will be a wonderful journey for you and Peter once he gets his after May. Then you guys can go back to a new normal and start traveling without fear of contracting COVID19 and go visit family out of state this summer and go see Peter's mom,Mary's parents,and Mary's older sister Rachel and brother in-law Jonathan and nephew Wesley. And you guys can maybe start planning your return to Scotland later this year or next year. Good luck and God Bless you both. God is so good as you both know taking care of you this past year and preventing you from contracting COVID19 and Mary ending up in the ICU hooked to tubes,wires and possibly a ventilator and possibly not being with us today on this earth. actually, drinking plenty of fluids with electrolytes seems to help the most to prevent any of the side effects or minimize them. just get your immune system in good shape with healthy food, good sleep and lots of fluids before you go so it can take on this training. made a big difference between my 1st and 2nd shot. Others noticed a benefit of drinking electrolytes (gatorade, limeade) before their shots as well

I think it is vaccine related is a little headachy I had a little bit of a headache after my first dose and chills the second day my arm felt like it was going to follow rules so painful

Will they give you that shot it hurts in the muscle required while they don't go away that soon

My husband, oldest son, and I drive over two hours yesterday for me to receive the Pfizer Covid vaccine. God blessed us with my son being able to receive the vaccine as well. My husband was already vaccinated. This was my longest car ride in over two years due to having multiple autoimmune diseases, complications, surgeries, and treatments. Today, I have stayed in bed as I am exhausted!

My dad had no side effects stepmom had mild. I'm a big baby about feeling like crap but praying when we get our vaccine it turns out ok

I am getting ready for my 2nd Pfizer shot next Tuesday..thats. the one that scares me more than anything

seems me and another person here in the comments noticed that if you drink something with electrolytes and keep your fluids up, the side effects aren't that bad. my 2nd dose was alot easier than my first because i made sure to down nearly a gallon of limeade and also ate healthy as well as took vitamins so my immune system would be ready for the 2nd dose. I was all good after a hot shower and a nap for the 2nd one.

@@colleenshaw1607 I did drink lots of fluids throughout the day. 24 hrs since shot & just a little soreness at the site of the injection. Woot!

I'm 72, had the first Modrea shot, no pain at all! Hope the second is near the same.

stay hydrated =) i think it helped my second dose go easier than the first
