Well humans can survive weeks without. If you know the trial only lasts a week, then searching for food is waste of energy - especially if you know it's going to be near impossible.

Well, humans can survive 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food. Altho if u r fat u can easily survive much longer without food. But if ur so skinny that u can grate cheese w ur abs then u might die of hunger b4 thirst.
