Yeah, Demacia has its own problems, but at what cost did Noxus fix its problems? It’s based around conflict, around being the strongest, and Swain wasted no time in executing or exiling all his opposition in the nobility. Noxus may have a lot of the stuff in it fixed, but it’s still a harsh country.

Actually, Darius didn't just randomly decide to return to Noxus and find out Swain had taken over. He had no intention to surrender the conquest into Frelijord. Even though he did think the conquest was pointless he followed orders He was recalled by Swain after the coup. And since Retreat was not the Noxian way. He marched his Warband into Noxus with the full intent of executing Swain and even Draven if he didn't have the proof of Darkwill's corruption like his recall orders said he had. Darius didn't just join swain because the other houses supported him. he was genuinely convinced by swain's vision for Noxus. This is also a reason why Swain wanted him to represent Might. Because his loyalty to Noxus and not the ruler was incorruptible.

What's more, it's clear in the lore and quotes, that Swain knew Darius and Draven well before his coronation and they supported him through thick and thin even then. The whole conflict at the return was that Darius wanted to see if his old friend was working towards elevating Noxus or if he too was corrupted by the black rose (which he didn't know by name at that point, I think) like his predecessor had been.

All of them have their advantages and disadvantages (except for the Shadow Isles and the Void for obvious reasons) Demacia is racist towards mages but has good values Noxus is very brutal but treats all of its citizens equally Ionia is infested with demons but has an awesome culture Shurima is in ruins but... Used to be great in the past Piltover is powered by the soul of an extinct specie, has family conflict, is harassed by an anorexic girl with a bazooka but is very technologically advanced Zaun is hyper toxic but has none of the piltover limitations for innovations Bandle has Teemo but it's a supernatural peaceful land Targon has religious wars but is filled with very powerful magic that anyone can harness Freljord is a hostile land and clan wars are frequent but *Braum is here*

Guile is own known to no one but Swain and themselves. I doubt even Darius knows who they are. That makes it near impossible for LeBlanc too manipulate the leaders as Swain already distrusts her and she knows that. Swain truly represents Vision as he knew exactly what LeBlanc/his enemies would do and how to stop them from succeeding. When he says lines like, "They are five steps from realizing, I am ten steps ahead. " and "They expect me to play fairly. We aren't even playing the same game" he means them

When it comes to the Runeterra map, it hasn't been updated since like June 2019. Last thing they updated was adding Ixtal as a region (2 months b4 Qiyana was released) , but they haven't even added Qiyana to to it, nor any champ released after her. Lots of places from the Zed comics/Swain LoR map are missing as well. Hope they update it soon.

Noxian is basically a modern society at this point, without the technology that is. Like it seems all is good, but military and political positions still seem to be held by the wealthy, and whether some poor orphan with nothing to their name, for example, could become a Steward, to my knowledge, has yet to be seen edit: I feel dumb that I forgot that being an orphan that becomes a member of the Trifarix was Darius's whole thing, but the Trifarix is meant to be the embodiment of the ideals of Noxus, and so stories like Darius's should be more common on a state or city level

I think its more that the leaders are chosen because of their skill sets and ability to lead. Darius was chosen to represent might because... well just look at him. Swain was chosen to be a grand general because dude served in the military for so long, lost an arm, and came back to reform the whole nation. I think the only reason that these leaders are wealthy is because they are leaders, not because they bought their way into a position of power.

Dude, if you watch the Noxus trailer the 3 main figures in the Trifarian Legion all come from humble backgrounds. Darius an street orphan, the GlorySeeker was a slave, Captain Farron was a mentally ill Zaunite brute. No one there got into it via privaledge or because of their name.

This is one of my favorite things about LoL. They don't do a stereotype of Good Guy and Bad Guy. They focus on the background and expand on it. Noxus aren't blood hungry, war seeking people. They are just very strong cause they train every, single, day. Even Swain, the general, knows when to be nice and when to be serious. All hail swain.

I have a theory about the support. It's not well thought out tho. Maybe the new champ served darkwill and when darkwill died he tries to keep his role as a knight with his lance even though he lost nobility. Treason against Swain and loyalty to darkwill was the new champs downfall and now he fights against Swain new noxus since he has lost his nobility and now the only noble part of him left in the lance and knight armor

One of the things i go back again to recall with this new lore info, is about Sylas view on Noxus. In his interactions, he is pretty much as averted to Noxus as he is to Demacian nobility. The thing is, Sylas spent 15 years imprisoned, and Noxus only began to change recently: when he was still free, Darkwill was ruling Noxus pretty much similarly to how the Jarvans ruled Demacia. The way Swain and the Trifarix are ruling Noxus though, doesn't look like something Sylas would particularly disapprove. He is literally doing what Sylas preaches, taking power away from unearned nobility and giving it to the people. Kinda makes me think Lux didn't told Sylas about the changes in Noxus and that he believes they still are the same way they were in Darkwill's time. I wonder what he would think about the way Noxus is right now. If he would even ally himself to them.

Its hilarious the political satire that Riot puts into the game to embody the left and right politics. Swain is a manifestation of ultra-extremist LEFT-political structure, progress at all costs, socialism in the form of everyone individually proving their worth and elimination of prejudice, privalege and racism for ultimate inclusion. Demacia is a manifestation of ultra-extremist RIGHT-policies, ultra conservative, narrow minded and racists, where nobility/aristocracy, houses and names mean everything, drowning in its unwillingness and fear of change which it seeks to avoid at all costs, staying stubbornly in its roots and origins even in a time where change is being forced upon them.
