Trully a different story type but quite refreshing. This time Makoto is a true brother, and not a bastard, when Makoto is like Jerry in the story where he was force by his system to pursue Willow/Kate in order to be cured of cancer, he truly never wanted to hurt Elias/George and even became friends, I say, we need more stories where George and Makoto have a neutral or even true friendship. While i can understand where Willow initial attitude come from, she went to far the moment she inherit the company as for David, since he never respected his father despite the obvious care George gave him, i see no reason to feel sorry for him

Nice one, a purely male perspective, not a romantic one. Fatherhood, brotherhood- Important things that made this story stand out, showing the weight of pain a father might feel, seeing his only son disrespect him. Adding the graveyard scene with plots was a cherry ontop of a pie, making it really wholesome - it just showed that this story was about what is important to see in a man's life. Willow was so generic - and it paid off well, letting other characters shine. This story is one of the better ones around on this channel.

Oof this was a rough one. I’m glad people seem to understand this dad and why he gave up his parental rights. When there’s a woman in this type of story, the comments are always critical of her, like she isn’t allowed to not want to be around her abusive and toxic child. I’ve seen this IRL, and it’s devastating for the ostracized parent. Eventually, for their wellbeing, they have to let go.

I've seen this IRL too. Men especially get destroyed by the courts almost always giving the mother custody, unfortunately many will poison the children even if they stay in the marriage. Honestly, in this situation our guy literally lost..why u ask?..he lost his mom,not to mention didn't even manage to stay by her side on her final days..his own son is a brat and will be till the end...lost his precious years on psychological torment which will leave a scar...for these he got just about 7.5m usd....her? shes loaded,pretty and there is a severe shortage of women in C thus will have no prob getting men......and if she's ruthless enough (which i bet she is!!!) will do everything she can to actively sabotage him.(Worst case scenario off-him.)

If Willow had allowed George to discipline their son things would be different. However and this is unfortunately a too common occurrence in China but a lot of parents do not discipline their children especially the upper middle / upper class families. You have the one child policy to thank for this so many parents in China spoil the hell of their children. That’s why so many Chinese communities that got out of China during the Cultural Revolution kept more of real Chinese traditions and would have some sense of disciplining their kids. As for Willow herself, she is utterly broken and I get the feeling both Willow and her son might just end up living in old George’s apartment hoping for his return.

I'm sorry I have to disagree. We are only coming in on his GRIEF from his mothers passing. I don't know about you but when my mom passed I wasn't right for a long time. As far as that disrespectful child...he learned that from that so called emotionally dependent woman. We honestly don't know how he tried to correct his behavior. But if you have no support from your other half...only show a divided front...nothing can help it. If she truly loved him she would have let the love do the talking. If she still loved him (after she grew wings) why did she hide him? Being controlling, distant and ambiguous in your relationship doesn't say I love you. Communication would have gone a long way in their relationship. Yes, to a degree, they both are at fault but I'm drawing the line at him being called childish. Everyone has feelings.
