In the confrontation fight scene, Elias did have some conflict and bitterness from thinking he had indirectly threw Sarah and her personality into Ryan's hands when he find out Ryan loved Sarah. And i doubt Elias put any effort to try and find Ryan cause i know his family is well-off to do investigation to even help Sarah

@@Dante999000 Throughout the story she never said she loved him. Both of them knew the relationship was a set up that’s why she paid him in the end. He was the one that fell in love. Even Elias said he was surprised that he fell for her cause he knew their set up. Only in the end did she realized she loved him that’s why she gave up on Elias. The “fooling” part wasn’t about love. He tried to fool her by faking the amnesia and she fooled him by playing along. The ending line was just a play on words by the author to make the end bittersweet

He divorced her, over suspected cheating, she never clarified anything so to MC, that's considered unfaithfulness, he still nearly unalived himself only to be cucked by a photo of her and Elias in each other's arms and then drowned. MC took her home when she was drunk and left her with Elias of his own Accord even tho they were divorced and had a lit fire for love rekindle. After finding out she died, he went back to see her after many years only to find out she faked her death too.
