The Terminator has been one of the most loved and most hated series in all of cinematic history. Today we take a look back at the highs and lows of the Terminator franchise and figure out where it all went wrong. From the movie series' Genisys to it's Dark Fate. Terminator 1&2 are the only good films in the series. Everything after more or less treads the same series bits. The T-800 in T1 was lethal, so was the T-1000 in T2. The Terminators in later films do the cliché throw the protagonist across room instead of just killing them right on the spot.

They should of put the Deleted scene in Terminator 2 were Sarah was old, speaking into a recording, Humanity was peaceful in a new future, John had kids and the studio decided not to put it in. That would of shown people that the Terminator franchise had concluded.

Not really. Look at Bill and Ted's franchise. If you honestly watch "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey", it was rather OBVIOUS that the whole film was a conclusion to that franchise, and how it even wrapped up showing how Bill and Ted finally became rock legends to unite the world...only for "Bill and Ted Face the Music" to retcon all of that crap, and say "Oh you thought that was the ending? Nope. That final concert that we built up like it was going to manifest Bill and Ted's destinies was a lie, and they didn't accomplish shit. Now come watch the REAL conclusion to their story...dur...." Trust me, they would've found a way. Heck, the last two movies even showed they're not above retconning stuff, so they would've easily just retconned that ending anyways, so yeah...

The thing I REALLY hate about everything after T2 isn't just that they're forcing the continuation of a story that already had a very good conclusion, but they did so in a way that completely invalidates the theme that the story had built up to. In T2, they raise the question of whether or not Skynet and Judgement day were truly inevitable, which is also the idea of whether or not you can change your destiny, and whether or not you can stop something that's seemingly inevitable. And T2 answered that question with a victorious YES. The message of T2 was that you can change the world, and you can change the future, and although it's difficult, it's not impossible. Then every movie after that (with the possible exception of Salvation, as I haven't seen it) tells you that no, you can't stop the inevitable, and you can't stop destiny, you can only delay or postpone it. And that makes the entire series from the end of 3 onwards feel like there's absolutely no hope for a better future, there's only a miserable battle for survival. And that feels like a spit in the face to the story told in the first two films. And this is ESPECIALLY true in Dark Fate, because not only does it reinforce the inevitability of destiny/fate by making an AI apocalypse that comes from a completely different source, but it even does so by killing the previously established "destined savior" and replacing him with a new one. So now not only does the fated destruction of humanity feel completely inevitable and make the story entirely hopeless on the grand scale, but the idea that John Conner is replaceable also makes the story of EVERY movie before it meaningless and hopeless on a personal level as well. This leaves us with the knowledge that the struggles of Sarah Conner, Kyle Reese, John Conner, and the one really good Terminator unit are all a complete waste of time that amounted to absolutely nothing. This is because we now know that even if Sarah had died in the first Terminator, someone else would've come along and filled John Conner's role in humanity's bleak future. And even if Skynet is/was prevented from being made, another AI will rise instead destroy humanity. So it ultimately, there was no hope to begin with, and any movie that might come out in the future will be just as pointless because there are no longer any stakes in these time travel plots. If humanity wins, another AI will come along later to destroy them. The AI kills humanities savior before they have a chance to lead the resistance, and another human will rise instead. So the conflict becomes nothing more than a cycle of violence and futility. The only logical way the franchise could continue now would be to show the actual war against the AI that takes place in the future. Though the problem with that idea is that they've already tried it with Salvation, and it didn't do all that well. And although I think that was largely because of the failures of T3, I still can't imagine a futuristic follow-up to Dark Fate will do any better. TLDR: This franchise is a rotting carcass that was killed by greed, shortsightedness, and idiotic writing.

Battle across time was made by James Cameron and came out after t2 and I was expecting t3 to be similar to that ride but in a 2 to 3 hr movie format focusing on the war which is what I wanted after t2. To see how the humans won the war battle across time showed us that the humans blew up skynet and the most powerful machine the t 1million was its protector they had to fight. Terminator Salvation failed predominantly because they changed the aesthetic of the future war. In the first film Kyle Reese specifically states that it's safer to move around at night and that the HK's have infrared. The battles are also always depicted at night. In Terminator Salvation they have Kyle Reese say it's safer to move around in the daytime because your body's heat signature can blend in with the background heat caused by the sun. So a lot of the fighting happened during the day. If you change the aesthetic, it doesn't matter how accurate everything else is, it will never feel right. The saddest part about that is all they had to do was make the War Against the Machines fit the very basic descriptions provided in the first couple of movies, and they didn't do it.

@@AussieDragoon I got the message. its the execution I think is stupid. If thats the message I think it would have worked better if john died, and his old lady stepped up and used his death, plus the legend of his name and all that, to inspire and motivate the troops to fight harder and they won that way. This would have honored john in a better way than stealing his face and lying to people. I think this is more meaningful than a face swap. They never say how john won the war, its only heavily implied that he is the sole reason they would, so maybe this is how they won to begin with. Maybe his death is what empowered the resistance to fight harder and maybe thats why skynet had to resort to time travel and remove him from existence completely. instead of just using overwhelming force to kill him in the future. Cause every time they killed him it just made the humans fight even harder. What happens in T3 supports this theory. The t1000 said he killed john connor, on july 4 2032, before kate brewster reprogrammed him amd sent him back. So if john connor was killed why did skynet send the TX back to not only kill him but also kill kate and 20 others. The only reason it would do this after johns death is because Kate was leading the resistance to victory after johns death. If you think about it skynet could have used time travel to undo every victory john would've accomplished in order to win. really there's no reason they should have lost if they can just Edge of Tomorrow that shit til they win and kill john in the present. I get that edge of tomorrow was different it reset the day instead of sending something to the past, but sending one terminator back with future knowledge and a winning strategy, is pretty much the same as one man with the ability to reset the day and change the outcome. Thats all skynet would need to do, to undo any resistince victory. The only thing that makes sense, is that it was always fate for humanity to win, no matter what skynet tried to change in battle, and maybe removing john from the future timeline, was the only thing that could change that fate.

The most logical next & final step that should have happened for the franchise preferably a few years after or at least no later than 1999 (as actors ages, becoming Governors & shit) after T2 should been a more superiorly executed T3 set in the Future War where the plot should have been about how the war was won and how everyone was sent back in time in one Sequel/Prequel hybrid Film capping off what would have been a great Trilogy Box Set today. I think what this really boils down to is the fact you had all these creatives in the 70s & 80s, Lucas, Spielberg, Scott and Cameron (and more), who somehow managed to get certain studios to take a chance on them. they were allowed to tell the kinds of stories they wanted to tell, which were so unique and then by the time these movies became so hugely successful and iconic even; the Hollywood studio being the big "business" that it is, in the case of "Terminator" franchise. they just wanted to repeat the same structure of the original first two films, constantly thinking from a business angle of what it thinks the "paying customer/audience" want to see; instead of actually allowing the narrative to flow and progress naturally, which is what should have happened with all the terminator sequels. that way the story after t2 judgement day would have evolved and flowed nicely into the "Future War", any terminator fan know this makes perfect sense.

Rather than creatives producing their vision with the studios paying for it, the power has flipped to the corporation’s vision, with the creative’s paying for it. @@thomasffrench3639 the trouble with the film industry as a whole is they always want to aim a product at the majority of viewers and something is never going to appeal to everybody. As soon as Hollywood catch a whiff that everyone is talking about that film and getting excited for it, they have to milk it for all it's worth then when it comes to a sequel, they blindly stick to the same format, thinking doing the same thing again is what people will want to see, but by that point novelty has worn out and theres nothing new or original left. this is why the strongest sequels in history such as empire and judgement day are so successful and beloved, cause they were bold enough to change things up and keep building a narrative. Also tv had alot to with it but was also the old dogs running Hollywood knew they had to modernize by allowing in a new generation of filmmakers and change with the times, cause genres like the western were getting stale, and everyone was starting to look toward space by the late 60s, cause of the space race.

Linda Hamilton read the script, was unimpressed, and declined to sign on. Also, like the previous commenter said, "talk to the hand" and the sunglasses scene did not at all belong. They absolutely killed the vibe of the movie for a couple of chuckles. And finally the ending. @@shalindelta7 I respectfully disagree it was great. It's not complete trash like Genesis, but it's a watered down Terminator film geared to kids. I give credit to some of the ideas but still a thumbs down for me. Agree, I would much rather have continued with a sequel to Salvation rather than the garbage that was Genesis, but Salvation was nowhere near the quality the franchise deserved. But I think the franchise was fucked when Arnie put on the pink sunglasses in T3. And this idea that every new Terminator film needs to start a trilogy, so they can't tell a complete story.

After Dark Fate, I finally let it go, and came to terms with the fact that we’re never getting the future war we saw in the first two. I mean, the ending of T2 is as definitive as you want it to be, which is exactly why I spent like 30 years desperately holding on to the franchise, but now it’s just beautiful closure. I still get teary eyed at the thumbs up, and I’ve seen that shit literally like 100 times. One thing that’s sort of a funny side note, you gotta give McG credit. He made the best post Cameron sequel. It was a pretty shit movie in it’s own right, but man at least he went for it. He didn’t just make another chase movie, or shoehorn Arnold into a lead role just because. He had a unique vision, and dove right in. It’s just too bad he’s not very good at making movies. Edit: I wrote this before watching the video, and yeah I guess we agree.

So here’s another weird thing about how they keep bring back Arnold to play different Terminators. In T1, it was shown that T-800s can look like many different humans, due to their use of human flesh and skin. There wasn’t an army of them who all looked like Arnold. And anything that is a T-1000 or higher can shapeshift into whatever or whoever they touch. So according to the storyline that makes sense, there is no reason to bring back any Terminator that looks like Arnold, after T2.

I remember the first one coming out when i was in secondary school back in the 80's. Rented it out at the video store and i was absolutely blown away by how good it was. Thought it was one of the coolest sci-fi movies id ever seen. A dark, gritty, grungy sci-fi horror thriller. Then i saw the second film and thought to myself, this is more of a fun, flashy effects, buddy-buddy, action film for the mainstream audience. The second film was the start of the trend in aiming these films at the mainstream audience. That's where the bigger money is. As you said, the first movie was an intense chase movie from start to finish. The second movie started opening up sub-plots, like the whole Dyson thing. Now the series is nothing but sub-plot. I refuse to even watch Dark Fate. The 'Terminator Resistance' video game on the other hand though was absolutely awesome. A game made by fans, for fans. Still cant work out why the Terminators are described as 'cyborgs' though. Theyre androids, not cyborgs. A cyborg is someone who was born as a regular human being then had mechanical modifications added later.

The first two films are classic horror and action films, respectively. Out of the later entries, The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dark Fate are the most decent, even if they're unnecessary. Genisys is fun fan service, but it's like a licensed tie-in novel or comic book being turned into a big-budget film for a mainstream audience, so it feels very strange. Salvation is technically well-made, but it's the worst kind of self-insert fan fiction. And T3 is the only film in the series that's 100% a soulless hack job, made by people who had no higher aspirations than earning a paycheck. So the ranking would be: 1. The Terminator 2. Judgment Day 3. The Sarah Connor Chronicles 4. Dark Fate 5. Genisys 6. Salvation 7. Battle Across Time (the Universal Studios attraction) 8. Lady Terminator 9. Bruno Mattei's Terminator 2 10. Any given Terminator fan film, no matter how terrible 11. Rise of the Machines

My thoughts on the Terminator Franchise (meaning MY opinion): Terminator 1 is actually my favorite out of all of them. Aside from the fact that it's the first one (of course), it's also the only one that has the T800 (Arnold) as the villain instead of the hero, Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese, the mystery surrounding John Connor (who isn't even in this movie, despite the fact that he's mentioned throughout) and the world as a whole, Sarah and Kyle's chemistry and romance, the fact that it feels more like a horror movie, the nostalgic vibe of the 80's, and of course the iconic line, "I'll be back..." (which is way more sinister to me than "Asta La Vista, Baby!"). Yeah, it's dated, but so what? That just adds to the charm of the movie; plus, the effects did get way better in later sequels. So there's really no point in complaining about something that has already been fixed decades later. With Terminator 2, everyone says that that's their favorite/best of the franchise. It's not my favorite (I've already explained above why T1 is MY favorite), but I can at least understand why everybody else puts T2 as the definitive Terminator movie. Arnold as the hero, Sarah as the badass female, John Connor at his best, the whole world has been opened up and expanded upon, the T1000, the non-stop action, the ending, blah blah blah, you know the rest. Honestly, there's really no reason for me to explain to any of you why this movie is so good, because you should know that already by now. But like I've said, it's not my personal favorite, because T1 exists. That's just me though. Terminator 3 is without a doubt the most uneventful Terminator movie ever. Coming off of T1 and T2 is no easy task and is frankly unfair. But even in that scenario, you can still find a way to make your movie good. And in this case, T3 isn't the worst (we'll get there eventually, don't worry), but it's more of a snooze-fest than anything else. Plus, I realize that comedy is subjective, but there are a lot of scenes that can make any newcomer or die-hard fan cringe (the "Talk-to-the-Hand" scene NOT being one of them). Not to mention the fact that T3 has easily the worst portrayal of John Connor in the franchise. Yeah it has a solid ending, but it feels so out-of-place when compared to the rest of the movie. Almost as if the ending belongs in another movie entirely. (Because up until that point, T3 just kinda stumbles and fumbles... even if it doesn't fall completely flat on it's face.) It's also the most pointless Terminator movie ever made, as in there's really no reason to watch T3, unless you're a casual Terminator fan that just enjoys these movies and this world. (Or maybe it's because you still have some nostalgia for it.) That's on you pal, because this movie is more forgettable than something worth raging about (or even defending). Terminator Salvation, for all the things people can say about it, at least tried to take the franchise in a different direction that fans wanted to see, which was the future war and John Connor being the leader of the Resistance (no, not THAT Resistance... the other one). Not to mention the fact that there was no time-travel plot; it stayed in the future war timeline from beginning to end. If the franchise was going to go in a certain direction, this was the only way to do it. And for my money, even though it would have been nice if the Salvation timeline was made into a trilogy, this should have been the last Terminator movie (even though a lot of people say T2 should have been the end, which I do get). For me, it's T1, then T2, then Salvation, and that's it. There's your definitive Terminator trilogy right there. Especially considering where the franchise has gone over the years. Genisys can go @#%& off. Easily the worst one. It honestly felt like a parody of itself rather than being an actual Terminator movie. Sure, T3 was like that as well (with Arnold's star-shaped sunglasses, among other things), but it was only in a few spots AND NOT THE ENTIRE #&@%#&! MOVIE! What else is there to even say about this piece of &@#%? It's just trash... the casting (mainly with Jay Courtney as Kyle Reese), the retconing of the first two movies, the forced humor and references, the fact that John Connor was the villain, how it disrespected the audience and treated them like idiots, everything. Enough said. This movie sucks. And then there's Dark Fate. Look... if we're going to talk about this movie, we have to talk about the first five minutes. It's almost impossible not to. And, honestly, even though the movie's been out for a couple years now, I still don't know how to feel about (SPOILER) John Connor being killed off. I've heard a lot of arguments on the Internet from both sides, with people that are for it and people that are against it. And the more I hear both of these back-and-forth arguments, the more I'm stuck squarely on the fence. Now, I know what you're thinking: "How can you possibly be stuck on the fence with the killing of John Connor all these years later? Shouldn't you have picked a side by now?" Well, maybe. But frankly, it's because this whole movie and your enjoyment of it rests on how you as the viewer feel about the first five minutes in general. If you love the direction they took with John Connor, you'll be on board for the rest of the movie. If you hate the fact that John Connor died, you'll hate how the movie in general plays out after that scene. And because of how conflicted I am personally about John Connor dying, I also feel torn about the movie as a whole. From a story perspective, I get why someone would be on board, but I can also see how die-hard Terminator fans would be pissed off at that decision (especially if you hold T2 and the character of John Connor in high regard). My problem isn't these arguments specifically. The biggest problem is that people entrenched on both sides of the John Connor debate can't even see eye-to-eye and how they go about them. Granted, it is the age of the Internet, and people do this all the time today where everything is politicized (even in the Entertainment Industry), so what do I know? But, the more people from both sides attack each other on this one issue, the more off-putting it gets for me. This is one of the many examples of movies that proves both sides just need to shut the hell up and let others enjoy the movies they want to enjoy without being sucked into the constant Internet Drama (I'm looking at you, Reddit), while also understanding why someone else wouldn't just on principle alone. Look... as a typical summer action movie, Dark Fate can be fun (even though it was actually released in November, which is generally supposed to be Oscar season... whoops!); as a Terminator movie, that depends on who you are (again, it's either love or hate). As a "female-empowerment" movie (which I'm not against in theory, by the way), it could have been a lot worse (mainly because I actually have seen worse; *cough* Ghostbusters 2016 *cough*). But we also have much better "female-empowerment" movies to compare this with, including the first two Terminator movies which also feature Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor. So while I don't hate this movie, I also don't know how I feel about it, and probably never will for a long time. So, with that said, here's my ranking: 1.) T1 2.) T2 3.) Salvation 4.) Dark Fate 5.) T3 6.) Genisys

Yep. The second Ol' Jim Cameron walked away from his dual-epics it was dead in the water. P.s If you're confused about the scene at 4:06 it was from a larger scene that got deleted. it comes after Doctor Silverman tells the male nurse/security guard to "make sure she (Sarah) takes her thorazine" so the guard walks in to her cell & immediately tazers her to the ground, kicks her a couple of times & stuffs pill into her mouth as she lay unconscious. while unconscious she has a dream of Kyle coming into her cell for a pep-talk. when he walks away she chases him outside & that leads into the scene where Sarah witnesses the apocalypse. Also. the guard in that scene is also the guard that licks her face while she is restrained. all this explains why Sarah properly wails on the guy with the broken mop handle during her escape.

I personally feel that if they want to continue the formula set up by the first two movies, they can do some things to make things interesting that wouldn't be just rehashing Judgment Day: Coming off the twist from Genysis that John Connor has become a Terminator, have it be set up that the "evil" Terminator is actually sent back by the resistance, as they feel the fact that John becoming a Terminator is too great a risk. The "good" Terminator can be there to protect John in order to ensure Skynet's ultimate victory. The conclusion may actually hinge on building up the resistance early, and making sure they've recruited multiple strong candidates to be the leader. Another idea is that it could be the normal evil Terminator sent back, with the resistance either unable to send back a protector, or said protector is killed/destroyed shortly after going back, before they can go protect the target. Now, those in the present have to fight off this unstoppable machine without any knowledge of what it is, or why it's there. A last idea I have is that maybe Skynet sends back a Terminator and the resistance sends someone, like in the other movies, but it's revealed that this Terminator is actually one of many, not going after future resistance fighters at all, but instead impersonating important figures in the political and scientific scene (read: killing them and then impersonating them--they are still Terminators, after all), all in a bid for Skynet to attempt to kickstart its rise early, before John or the like are even at a stage to possibly mount a resistance.

I do agree that Salvation had good thing on it's plate, but at the end of the day, the bad stuff overshadows the good stuff..... Perhaps the biggest issue with the movie is the fact that Skynet already knows who Kyle Reese was and why he was important enough to be targeted for extermination.... I can understand that John Connor was a danger, even if he wasn't already the leader of the resistance, because he was talking trough radio, keeping the troop's moral up and becoming a beacon of hope, but why Reese if he is just part of the smallest resistance cell ever?..... This alone is one of the franchise many many MANY dark spots, and the moment you pick all the dark spots and put them together, you realize that any time Arnie said "I'LL BE BACK" (wink wink) means absolutely nothing......

Actually the core issue with the film is John vs Marcus being leads, the movie felt like it didn’t know who to focus on and that hurts the film, not to mention the star power the 2 actors had at that time so it might’ve been that as to why they’re both versing

@@paulieluppino1856 that too, I think Skynet using Marcus as unknown bait was a great idea, it could be what started the Terminator program in the first place, but it was meddling with Johns plotline
@thewolfofwallstreet627
@thewolfofwallstreet627 2 жыл бұрын
@@ninjanibba4259 That's because in the original script, the filmmakers behind salvation wanted to have have Marcus replace John Connor in the movie, while delving into the premise about John being this great military leader was an elaborate hoax, and John was going to die. And after he died, Marcus would get a face transplant from John to make him look like John Connor. And since Marcus was a cyborg with knowledge of Skynet's infrastructure, and his super human level abilities, he'd adopt the name John Connor to inspire others during the war. Or at least, that's what the writers claim they initially wanted, but they scaled that back due to fan backlash once news got out about that plot leak. That's why the film tends to struggle between who to focus on between the two because initially they were going to have Marcus be the lead that replaced John Connor. But when they had to rewrite it, they changed everything including the ending to where John still had to go onto the operating table except this time he wasn't dead. And instead, they make him alive to get a heart transplant from Marcus. Personally, I think what they should've done was either go all in on their original idea with fans be damned, or they should've thrown out that script completely and just made John Connor the primary focus from day one of writing a new script.

My ranking: 1. Terminator 1 2. Terminator 2 Nothing else is canon but to rank the other movies you mentioned each one got worse, so it would be 3. T3 4. Salvation 5. Genisys 6. The one that killed the whole franchise The most recent 2 movies puts Sarah before John, making feminism the focus, not the actual Terminator story. Not to mention them killing John, which negates what every movie accomplished prior to Dark Fate. I don't know how you can say DF was better than Genisys, it wasn't. Genisys didn't kill the franchise.

You missed TSCC! I agree, T2 was where the series ended, when it was no longer James Camerons vision that drove the narrative. Salvation I believe was a decent film, not T2 level but the most original sequel which had the most potential. The Saray Connor Chronicles was meh but better than the other movies, and I remember the last episode of Season 2 being epic and I was gutted they didn't follow it up with a Season 3. I played the Terminator: Resistance game recently and that was surprisingly... OK. T2 > T1 > TS > TR > TSCC > T3 > TDF > TG

They really goofed up writing T3 when the arm of the 2nd Terminator got crushed by the T-1000 the steel factory. They could of said that the Arm is what kept things going. I mean they had to destroy the first Terminator's arm why is the second okay to remain?

The way Terminator was created allows it for constant reboots: everytime they time travel back in past they reboot the future. This is why I liked Terminator Salvation for actually going forward and not try to reboot the past. PS: Since I was a kid I always thought Terminator plot is kind of stupid, Skynet could have sent Terminators to ancient times and rule humanity as GODS. The movies never stated they have a limited "distance" in time to travel back.

If I was in charge of the Terminator Franchise, this is what I would have done after T2: 1. Terminator Film or a TV-Show that takes place exclusively in the post-apocalyptic future and closes the time-loop between T1 and T2. Don't do it like Salvation. Do it like the short flashbacks in T1 and in the opening of T2, where people live underground, are malnourished and have to eat rats to survive and wage a guerrilla war against Skynet. 2. A complete Reboot. That means no Sarah Connor, no John Connor, no Kyle Reese, no Skynet and NO Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator. Go back to the roots of the first Terminator Film and make another dark, low-budget Slasher/Science-Fiction Film with completely new characters. As a director, I would have chosen a guy like Leigh Whannell, who was responsible for Upgrade (2018) and The Invisible Man (2020). or 3. A Robocop vs. Terminator Film

@Raizen Mazoku No, it doesn't because my 2nd idea is not making another Sequel or a Requel. I want to make full Reboot of the Franchise which doesn't include the OG characters. Terminator: Dark Fate was the Force Awakens of the Terminator Franchise and it sucked.

@@Horrormaster13 i want to start by saying sorry for offending you. That wasnt my intent. I just dont understand why you want to reboot a already perfect classic. How does changing and removing all that stuff make it a reboot? Imo if you removed everything that makes it a terminator movie than its not a terminator movie. This has ghostbusters 2016 disaster written all over it. Even with out any OG stuff, what your describing still just sounds like your're reskinning the terminator. Why not just come up with something entirely new that isnt a reboot? What would you keep the same to make it a terminator reboot? The premise mostly the same, future robots sent back to kill a person to win the future war, but you just changed the names? thats reskinning and in order for it not to be a reskin, it needs a new plot entirely. Would it have any new elements that the OG movie didn't have? If it does have something new that wasnt done in the franchise, then why even make it a terminator reboot, just make an original IP. That old saying about catching lighting in a bottle i feel applies here some how. The first two movies was lighting in a bottle and thats why everything else after sucks. And why I think your reboot still wouldn't catch that lighting unless it was just something entirely new and not a reboot.

Hollywood can't move on from T2, can't let Arnold go, will never want to start fresh again with the Future War story (Salvation/Adult John Conner)...Would have thought that we would have gotten two Terminator movies focusing on the Future War that was an epic victory over Skynet and a sendoff to the Terminator story. For the longest time, I just acknowledge the special edition ending of T2 as cannon and Salvation as a "what if they didn't prevent Judgement Day...err...like T3) but I don't acknowledge all the rest of the movies kinda like how I don't recognize any Alien movies as a cannon with Aliens 3 and other movies after 3 lol.
