Yeh its a shame there wasn't more but Chris is like all the best comedians he comes in gets the job done and then knows to quit before it gets stale, none of his stuff can get stale cos he kept it to one single set of episodes. I do wish there had been more Brass Eye though.

He's more like a fly that never lands for more than 6 episodes. 6 episodes of Day Today, 7 episodes of Brass Eye, 6 of Jam, 6 of Nathan Barley, then moved into directing, things like Veep, and then movies which have absolutely nothing to do with his old work.

You have to watch all the Debate 2000 bits to get the full impact (on the other pilot that is on YT). It is one the best thing they did. The comic acting, writing and piss-take of 'After Dark' at the end of this clip is genius: after the fight she says 'Right, well I think that's adequately illustrated what the French revolution was all about so let's move onto it shall we?' and the French 'writer' quips, again, 'What, its style or its content?'

E.g. the content of Chris Morris talking to a stranded submariner is good, but the style of him interviewing him in an overly comedic way (asking ridiculous questions about fish, telling him he's with him all the bloody way etc) isn't quite right compared to the proper show.

Oh yes, Chris Morris has balls, he has no nerves and you will see that if you look at "Speak Your Brains" segments on the full series. I remember when he interviewed actor John Challis from Only Fools and Horses sitcom, to get his reaction to Clive Anderson the talk show host being shot dead by presenter Noel Edmonds. Straight faced and no nerves.
