TOP THINGS TO KNOW to truly survive this server when starting out. 1. Do not sprint unless you really need to. Your calories will burn much quicker. It will also attract hunter zombies that chase you from anywhere. 2. Heavy hits and constantly vaulting over things also drains calories. Reserver them as much as you can to save food and water. 3. You can cut up clothes to make rags with just your hands. 4. Rocks can be found on dirt roads near every starting area. 5. Rusty cans can be crafted with a knife or tool to collect water and boil to safely drink. 6. Search for loot is a 2nd option for finding loot. Best to only use it when all else fails. 7. The stores at Vorkuta have a higher chance of finding food 8. Press P to start missions. They guide you to everything you'll eventually need. 9. Plan out every move you make. 10. Give this video a like and hope they try it again with these tips!!!!!!!

Yes, FHTC is quickly becoming my go-to server - play it long enough, you will find 'normal' servers quite boring and far too easy. I really enjoy the challenge and how quickly things can go from going well to disaster...of course, that's the nature of DayZ but especially so on FHTC. Good stuff gentlemen, keep up the great work!

Polypropylene baseball bat from cold steel. Never breaks or rusts or needs any maintenance. They’re a bit heavier then traditional or metal bats, that could be helpful in some cases. Best zombie weapon imo

Shovel plus sling is the best weapon combo for the apocalypse, they take pretty much no maintenance, they are very durable, they are easy to replace, and they can be used for other things as well.

Love your videos! I do enjoy the unedited versions, but I enjoy all of the videos to be honest. Just in case, if you didn't know, you can combine gas with the torch and it'll be 100% full.

I actually have given this a lot of thought, DayZ zombies are fairly unique in that they can die without hitting the head but what you really want is probably a bearded axe with a spike on the other side, it gives you reach, a penetrating weapon and also the utility of a axe

That was EPIC. I LOVED the difficulty of this server, how it made you two both VERY dependent upon each other/ a teammate, and all the mental calculations needed to be done even just to get 42 minutes in. I’ve watched tons of Fresh Spawns, HeyBarmby (LOVE the collabs!), some RunningManZ, and this (next to maybe your excellent and hilarious trap-base vods) is absolutely one of my favorite DayZ ‘episodes’ EVER. PLEASE do more of these, this was almost truly cinematic in the tension built. Thanks John and George!🎉❤

I think a baseball bat would be one of the best conventional style melee weapons for a zombie apocalypse, but if you could pick anything, a Chinese Dadao (chinese war sword) would be amazing too. Imagine a huge curved military machete that can cleave zombies in half in one swing.

My weapon against the zombies would be billhook. I'm not 100% sure if it's called that in english but in finnish it's called vesuri. Loggers use it to cut branches of a fell tree and to cut smaller trees/ bushes. it's similat to machete but has handle the lenght of an axe, it'd be durable because it's a tool, longer handle would help you keep distance on zombies and it's lighter than axe so you could swing it much longer without getting tired. It works really well even you can't sharpen it all the time. You also could use it as a knife in a pinch.

For dealing with zombies my weapon would be a mace+shield or a sledgehammer. Crush skulls and limbs easily and won't get stuck inside like a spear or sword

Loveeee the content guys! An idea for a funny video.. try trading a rock for cash! 😂 Pretend that you dropped nails and you can see nails but really you dropped a rock, and get other to confirm it's actually nails, ask them to re-log as it may be a glich. when they do.. everyone drops rocks everywhere and when they log back in everyone gets excited with all the nails (rocks) on the floor

Going by Kentucky ballistics and general preference, you have no need to snipe zombies at long range and don't want to be put into a corner. So I'd say a 4guage (yes it's spelled wrong) KS-23 shotgun but then with bayonet at the front. Sure ammo is a problem but each of those shells is like a brick through plate glass.
