The 2021 DC Step on boot has arrived! Taking a first look at them Men's DC Control Step On and the Women's DC Lotus Step On. DC is the first brand outside of Burton to join the Step On line; giving buyers another option in boot fit for the line. These boots are ONLY COMPAITABLE WITH THE BURTON STEP ON BINDING.
Both of these boots are going to be a soft/mid flexing boot with a dual boa system.

So here is a good question. I believe that if you actually unscrew the heel you can actually fit this boot into regular bindings.

Just picked these up the other day. They were far more comfortable on me over the Ruler or Photons. Didn't try the Swaths though. Wasn't a fan of the J-bars in the Burtons. They didn't fit me right and were already chaffing just walking around the store. These feel fantastic.

@@jgm113 Sizes seem similar to Burton. I wear a 10.5 shoe and after measuring they told me to try a Size 8 boot. Couldn't fit in anything under a 9. The Size 9 Burtons felt decent in everywhere except the heel. I really didn't like the j-bar pinch. Size 9 DCs were perfect on me.
@Jcreek201

@@jgm113 Boots always run smaller than shoes for some reason. It's exacerbated in snowboard boots because you want such a tight fit to transfer energy into the board, and they break in and loosen up over time. There's no way I could ride with a 10.5 boot. I've tried 10s before and while it's doable I still get some movement especially when they're worn in. Everbody's different though, get what works for you.

Hi, congratulations for the video. I was wondering how much the feeling with the boot could change, with such an insole? I have never tried a Burton, but this would be my first step on. The question is whether the difference is so clear or can you get used to it without too many problems?

I hope these fit me better than the photons. I just bought size 12 wide Photons, but they were too tight. So i have been renting some K2 size 13s and they fit pretty well. I would have got the 13 in the Photons but they are out of stock so I picked these up. Hopefully they fit well :)

Do these boots help with the pressure in the pinky toe area because Ive see reviews talking about how annoying it was
@SearchofSnowboarding
@SearchofSnowboarding 3 жыл бұрын
This is definitely a narrower fit in this boot. The deal with the pinky toe pressure is specific to whoever said that's foot. I have put a lot of people in Step On and there are very few people who have had that pressure. The biggest thing to keep in mind for any snowboard boot is that everybody's feet are so different from each others and finding the right boot is all about finding the right fit for your specific boot. That's why it's important to buy boots from a shop where you can try them on. Don't forget to subscribe

Hey bro How does the normal dc control boot flex compare to the dc mutiny ? I have the mutiny which is meant to be a 6 flex but is more like a 3 when it's broken in . Is the control just the mutiny with boa ? Cheers
@SearchofSnowboarding
@SearchofSnowboarding 3 жыл бұрын
No the control is not just a boa style mutiny. The control is going to have more support and should be more comfortable than the mutiny. I have never found companies 1-10 flex scale to be correct and would personally call the mutiny about a 3 and the control a 5. The control is a great middle of the road boot and the option for Step On is killer
