I find it hilarious that we’re still taking these critics seriously, from the ridiculous review bombing of BvS to the absurd amount of praise towards The Flash. Go see the movie and judge for yourselves, going by the reviews I can already tell I’m going to like it but I’m into films that take chances now whether it knocks completely out the park or it gets snuffed out at the wall we’ll see. It seems like what Gunn might be doing with the DCU in Superman is just a cheap knock off of the Snyderverse and placing more emphasis on campy/goofiness. What I always loved about the Snyderverse is that it was unabashedly "comic booky." It was a world that had metahumans, kryptonite, witches, atlantians, mother boxes all interacting with one another. It was rooted in the comic books, making it a great contrast to Nolan's grounded and modern Dark Knight trilogy. With Gunn and Safran, we'll get none of that nuance or depth..

Nah. Should hit $600million with the higher inflated ticket prices. It depends on it's legs. First two weeks should be okay as it won't really compete with anything. But if FF4 does some out two weeks after, FF4 hype will kill the legs momentum of Superman Legacy once it makes it's debut. Superman has two weeks to make as much money as possible. The real success is going to be the International market if they will accept a Superman without Cavill. USA market is more anti-Synder/anti-Cavill then the international market. But just like with Twisters success on domestic market won't be enough, you need at least the International market to match its near 50 split on box office for domestic and international.

If you are gonna upgrade your mic: - Swap out the KSM32 for a Neumann TLM103. It will be a bigger sound and will double as an upgrade to your voiceover work. - If you don’t want a condenser and want a dynamic podcast mic as you mentioned, the best is an RE20 due to its variable-D technology (look it up). - Second best is SM7db. This one is active. If you get the SM7B, you will need a cloud lifter, which is the same price as just getting the sm7db - Third best is the MV7/MV7+. This is the thinnest of the bunch but still good. - Avoid Blue USB mics. Avoid USB mics altogether actually, they sound terrible (except the MV7 or MV7+)

I also think the Synder films were generally more positive than some of Gunn's movies. Gunn has a thing in his mind where he designs a movie around a series of memorable music songs. No surprise on Joker 2. Joker was a lightning strike once. Was a surprise hit for sure that pretty much isn't any thing Joker except for borrowing the name. From Day One I’ve said that James Gunn is ALL WRONG for DC, and especially Superman. He’s a nothing Writer, and not much of a Director. His films are easily forgotten about on the way home from the theater. HE’S ON RECORD with his dislike for Superhero films, as well as his belief that Superman is a boring character. I truly hope his Superman is a good movie, but I do not believe he has it in him to do Justice to Superman. Once again I have a hard time understanding why you are making this a problem. Snyderverse had tons of sci-fi and fantasy elements, all the way from Man of Steel to Justice League. The latter was stuffed with that kinda stuff and I bet you didn't have problem with that. Heck, even TDKR from Nolan had fantasy elements. They have also been constantly around in the comics, and you can't really make a Superman movie without fantasy or sci-fi. I don't get why you have to jump to conclusions and say DCU is already ruined when you haven't seen a single second from the actual Superman movie yet or have no idea what the final product is going to look like.

It looks to me that he's trying to turn Superman into another "Guardians of the Galaxy 1". I loved that movie. Of course you would say that's not what Superman should be. You would be right. But I think it could be a really interesting film. As far as viewings It seems to me you have it backwards. I thought the young were the ones who went back 8 times not the adults. The Superman animated series and the Batman animated series and the justice league animated series is the best of dc comics and what DC comics is really based on. Just look at man of steel and justice league, the daily planet building never even had a globe smh it was a regular all black building and that's it. That's not dc comics that's a director doing his own else worlds story of dc comics. The dceu will always be a else world version of DC comics it was never the main universe of dc comics. The dceu was always Zacks vision of what he wanted in dc comics. And the dceu was already fantastical when you added wonder woman and the flash and once you added Darkseid and Steppenwolf it already had gotten super duper sci fi at that point. Even introducing Martian manhunter it was way past anything in our universe. I repeat you can't have marvel or dc movies being set in the real world because the characters are too godly and totally ridiculous in real life. That's one reason the Batman cant use clayface or mr freeze because again there are no freeze guns in the real world and any other way like doing a saw type of mr freeze would be lame. That's why the Batman will probably only use two face and the joker and that's it because they can't get super super comicbook because the first movie was so realistic. And even some parts of the Batman were unbelievably like being able to go into a crime scene, being able to be at a police station surrounded by police unconscious and nobody takes his mask off is bullshit and everyone knows it.

I do not believe it will be better than the first, but these reviews, especially from these people, mean virtually nothing at this point. Go check out some of there other film opinions. One gave The Marvel's 4/5 and another gave the same score to Love and Thunder. These people are morons. If you cared at all about the source material, you'd know DC is sci-fi and fantasy. Marvel was marketed as "the world outside your window". It was supposed to contain ordinary people from your world swept up in extraordinary situations. An ordinary kid is bit by a spider. An ordinary kid was turned into a super soldier. an ordinary scientist was turned into a green monster. DC comics was always a world apart where science fiction and fantasy is a reality. Where gods exist in the same world as space wizards and demonologists. DC was never an analog for the real world, it has always been a heightened reality. There are some exceptions with mini and maxi series throughout the years, but overall DC was never supposed to be seen as normal, everyday reality. Stuff like Lanter's, Manhunter, anything Fourth World, etc. are all hardcore sci-fi. I am hopeful they can find something new in the true roots of DC comics.

Superman being a movie that's set in a world that's so different from our's doesn't sound fantastic at all. That's what The Batman did, and I wasn't a big fan of that. Of course, I do not speak for all audience members. It also feels like James Gunn is hiring critics to give Joker 2 bad reviews. I don't expect it to be great or better than the first by any means, but I do think that poor movie is being set up to fail. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I enjoy musicals. Not everyone likes musicals. Joker 2 is a musical. People will say that it's not, that Arthur Fleck sings when his emotions are too big to be put into words... AND THAT'S LITERALLY WHAT A MUSICAL IS! When characters have emotions that they need to sing about because their emotions are too big to be put into words, that's a musical. I'm also not a fan of Harleen Quinnzell not being a psychiatrist, but I'll let that slide. Even still, I think Joker 2 has been set up to fail, and I think that James Gunn wants critics to put a sour taste in the audience's mouths so that his Superman "tastes" better by comparison.

But, don't they usually have large groups of people all singing at once, with multiple dance choreographies throughout the entire film. The way I see the singing is reminiscent of how he listened to music when his mom was still around. It gives his mind something to focus on, instead of his laughter. And stoke victims might stutter, but can sing amazingly well sometimes, because the stoke didn't affect that part of the brain. It could be that Arthur's condition left that very same lobe of his brain intact as well.

I love Man of Steel but I actually like the sound of an all out action sci fi fantasy for Superman. I think that it can fit the DC characters even more than Marvel because the DC characters (with the exception of Batman) are more out there and larger than life. It doesn't mean it is going to be MCU 2, Marvel didn't create light hearted tones or humour. In fact DC did that first. As long as it is written well and they get the characters right it can be very good. There is hoping. DC deserves it's time in the sun too. Especially Superman.

Aaron you’re misrepresenting the facts again. James is doing the OPPOSITE approach when it comes to the movies when compared to Marvel. Marvel showed us the origins of the heroes and how the world reacted to the first heroes while keeping a grounded tone.
