Immediately after Bobs repairs were completed, Laura arrived once again and we’ve been on consecutive mine explores all last week. Bob is once again running great and I even rewarded him with a set of brand new tires. Stay tuned because we made some amazing discoveries. Take care!

As you & Laura entered, looks like the water gets up higher, at times, seeing the water marks on the walls. It was an interesting "walk thru". Your (Coolness) looking over the view of the surrounding land at the video's start & ending.......I wonder if you're thinking what I would conclude from seeing the hill contours. Lots of water caused this at one time, 1,000's of yrs. back and then wind and rains up to our current time. So-oo spectacular!

Gly! Wanted to thank you for all you do. I love the feel of your videos as of late. The large panning drone footage is simply breath taking. I don't know how anyone could complain about it. You have managed to capture the staggering vastness of the south western landscape with a sharp eye and a keen sense of photography! The intro footage is out of this world! Sorry you have had issues with Ole Bob lately. I was glad to help out with a donation to get him up and running again. And on a personal note - I have been very moved and inspired by your story and ambition. I have been fighting some up hill battles of my own lately and thanks to you - I have realized my future doesn't have to be as bleak as I fear LOL. I've even started scouring Jeeps for sale in Arizona! I'm very tempted to hop a plane from the grey skies of Wisconsin and buy a Jeep sight unseen and make an adventure out of the trip back home! Would love to meet up with you some time if I'm ever out there again! It's been over 20 years since my last camping trip out west. Too long :). Take care and have fun !!!

“Gly”: Thank you very much for the kind words. It’s been a very, let’s just say, “trying” year for the channel and the content has suffered a bit because of it. But now that Bob is all fixed and things are, for the most part, getting back to normal, it’s time to get things back to the way they were before everything went sideways. Laura and I have big plans for 2024 and that means improving the explorations as well as raising the bar on cinematography and production quality helping to make this the best channel in the abandoned mine exploring genre. Indeed, life does throw us curve balls but with a little bit of ambition and a positive attitude one can rise above whatever life throws at us. May 2024 be a happy and prosperous year for you. Take care!

There is a large stope, one of the largest in the Desoto that reaches near the surface right under the top parking area. Its reachable by a drift on the side of the hill about 400' below the summit a little concealed by some large bushes. 20 years ago we also made it through to the Swastica where we came out of and made the long hike back bushwhacking it. I've also dove in the mine twice, its pretty well known for that hobby also.

Great video! Not sure if it is still the case, but most of those roads were/are maintained by the local (Phoenix) Jeep club.
