even though we only see them together a short time, it's heartbreaking when walken wakes up and finds out sarah has given up on him and married another man. this is possibly his most sympathetic character, and played to perfection. very strong supporting cast too.

Such an underappreciated 1983 film. Thanks for uploading! Christopher Walken is both haunting and haunted as this tragic character. Brilliant performance.

A quiet, superb horror movie. The monster here is Johnny's " gift. " It's interesting how he sees the present, ( Amy and fire, ) the past, ( Sam's mother ) and the future, ( Stillson. ) Cronenberg directed with finesse. I enjoyed how he visualized Johnny's spells. Of course, a brilliant cast with Walken doing delicate work in painting a tortured soul.

I do not see it that way; the scare in this is the so-called decent candidate who under the surface is a horrible creep that people are mesmerized by. Kinda of parallels today's would be dictator who recently said wants to shoOT shoplifters dead for shoplifting.

His girlfriend could have waited ,i mean 5 years isn't that long. And Martin Sheen topped it off as Stillson. he reminded me of Trump when Trump said he'd destroy North Korea, and that scene "THE ICE OS GONNA BREAK" Now you would expect the father to believe him or at least not go ice hockey with the kids. t was one of Steven Kings best books turned into a film,

This is funny to watch, because I get the same thing when I touch people. I am an empath I guess you call it? I don't know?? Does anyone know??
@IMeMineWho Жыл бұрын
I hate the term empathic as if it was such a special power; it is not. Empaths merely can feel what others feel which anyone not totally absorbed into their own selves can do. Psychic abilities are what Johnny has here and that is a bit rarer although logically people probably had the same thing as animals who sense a human is good or if a predator may do them ill when they meet them. Many rulers from time immemorial. frowned on utilizing these gifts and thus it was bred out of many people. There is a big difference between thinking you know what people feel (which may or may not be so) and being psychic and therefore able to foresee future events.
@noahroad6577 Жыл бұрын
I think John Smith had a combination of Clairvoyance and psychic phenomena (he was probably empathic, too).
