Welcome to Isla de Quimada Grande, also known as snake island. It is considered by some to be the deadliest island in the world, because the tiny island is home to thousands of extremely venomous snakes. It's also only located just 33 kilometers off the coast of Brazil.

The first explorers of the century tried to set the island on fire to drive the snakes out. Which gave rise to its name (Big Burn Island, translating to English) Even with the burns, the snakes there have never been extinct, and today there are very poisonous species unique to the island. I from Brazil;)

That video is very accurate, congratulations! However, here is a fun fact that wasn’t mentioned: the name of this island (“Ilha da Queimada Grande”), when translated to english, means “Big Fire Island”. The place got that name because, before it was forbidden to go there, it was a great fishing spot. To land on the island, fishermen would literally throw fire on the sand to kill all the snakes on the area, so that they could get off of their boats safely.
