the gaboon viper should be alot higher on the list. While you most likely survive a bite with correct medical treatment, their toxin causes heavy necrosis around the bite, which usually leads to doctors having to amputate a limb or the affected part.

It's feared but not the deadliest snakes in Africa. Puff Adders and Carpet Vipers are responsible for the most fatalities from snake bites in Africa. Boomslang ld 12.5 mgkg SC is the most toxic venomous snake in Africa rear fangs Colubridae family of snakes Dutch and Afrikaans translation meaning tree snake rarely bite humans unless they are mishandled usually by herpetologist who are trying to capture them. Black Mambas ld 0.341 mgkg SC can deliver multiple bites of neurotoxins and cardiovascular toxins and is a dangerous snake to handle for people like Dingo Dinkleman who makes entertainment videos on KZbin. SAMIR polyvalent antivenom is used treating Black Mambas bites and it's highly successful.

Yeah, you'll probably lose a limb with the Gaboon Viper. Also, they tend to hang on when they bite and the produce a LOT of venom. They are pretty chill, but their demeanor is what makes people lower their guard and get bitten.

Considering the antivenom situation with the coral snake - and the fact that they stopped producing it because of the lack of bites, I'd put it in the category of "Seek a doctor"and then "say your prayers" if you don't get on it quick enough.

Coral snake ( Equine ) Pfizer Laboratories is available for hospitals who need to stock it even if you don't get antivenom you will be put on a medical ventilation machine for a Coral snake bite only one person has died from a Coral snake bite in the US since the late sixties when Coral snake antivenom was developed by Wyeth Laboratories.
@nikkeisimmer87957 ай бұрын
@@richardhincemon So Pfizer actually filled the gap and started producing coral snake antivenin to fill the gap when Wyeth quit. I'm of the opinion that "despite the lack of need" for such if intubating and placement on a vent is good enough for survival, it's only a matter of time. Back when only herpetologists were curious about coral snakes that may have been good enough to just have an option of treatment. But with human nature, curiosity and the internet...prompting people to do stupid shit for views without proper training...you can bet that some people out there might try to go handle one with the resultant consequences.

In the research I’ve done on venomous snakes & no I’m no expert. I believe that the eastern brown snake & the black mamba are the 2 most dangerous snakes in the world; not just because of their venom but also their aggression towards humans. A lot of ppl think most venomous means most dangerous but not true since some snakes rarely come into contact with ppl & when they do the snake is usually passive and will try to avoid humans & look for an escape. There are also 2 or 3 species of sea snakes that are also highly venomous but, once again they’re not aggressive towards humans & don’t come into contact with humans regularly
