@@HowToSurviveShow Then I reckon you to review the fact about bite force about tigers & lions too. Because the difference between them is not significant. The 650psi bite force of a lion was not the accurate measurement. A tiger's bite force is slightly greater than a lion given the fact some subspecies of tigers were slightly larger than a lion on average.
If you see a tiger, it’s been stalking you for a while. That’s kinda terrifying. The chances of survival is less than 20%
@PaulBrower-bw4jwАй бұрын
The tiger has the choice to not kill us. It may choose to become visible just to scare us off. Tigers typically seek prey that does not have the ability to take revenge. Outside of the Sundarbans, man-eaters are rare and are usually injured or ill tigers desperate enough to risk being hunted down and killed.

Mountain Lions have lived around me for nearly a decade now, ever since they had to migrate from the Dakota's to find new land and territory's. Big Cats have been my favorite animals my entire life, and waving your hands and screaming, is a big misconception as I learned with Mountain Lions myself personally. Standing strong, puffing your chest, and letting out what I call a loud, low-pitched bellowing yell, kinda like modern heavy metal vocals, makes them run away as fast as they can, and they tend to keep looking back at me like they're thinking, what in the hell was that thing. Waving your arms and screaming actually makes you look like injured possible prey to them, because you're moving your limbs, and screaming or whining if you will like an injured deer would and so on. Only do a yell like I spoke of if you have the vocal chords and the diaphragm and lungs for it, because it's meant to scare the shit outta any Apex Predator, oh and Bobcats get up to 70 pounds here in Wisconsin, they're quite large and could kill a medium sized dog like a yellow lab, boxer, retrievers, a little over a week ago a huge Bobcat came through my backyard with a nearly 20 pound Opossum in it's mouth, caught it on my game camera attached to a tree. Enjoying the video so far. Take care man.

Also talking about Tigers, there was a female Tiger in India that got injured and was unable to then properly hunt local prey, so it either had to find food or was going to starve. Well it quickly found out that a lone person is much easier to hunt and take down, that created a massive issue. Tracking Demographics are hard in still pretty undeveloped rural places like that, so a true count may be hard but obviously enough ppl went missing and they found enough remains to realize they had a major issue. I cant remember the specific details, but this particular cat was a nightmare to track and deal with and had a pretty unbelievable amount of deaths associated with it. This might be one of the rare times you could actually say that animal is a "maneater", the movies use that term for any aggressive wild animal.

@fredjonesjr.9069 oh don't tell me you're still going off of that old outdated measurements that Brady barr took from a young male lion, that the whole world mistakenly took as the biteforce of all Lion's right? You still on that? It's been proven many times by multiple lion experts, including Brady barr himself, have all said those measurements were from a young male lion and it not the bite force of all lions. It's been proven multiple times that Lion's have a 1000 psi of pressure by nat geo wild and many other sourcesand experts. C'mon think logically my guy. A Lion's diet consists of a multitude of animals ranging from gazelles to even elephants. You really think 600 psi is gonna get it done when some of those animals have tough hides? 600 psi might be enough to get the job done on bovids, but I dont think that's enough for every animal in Africa.

The domestic cat is more likely to make a kill than any but a black-footed cat or a cheetah while hunting. It is one of the top ten predators, some of which are insects (the dragonfly is the top). We can all be thankful that we are so big that the domestic cat falls into the "you might get a bad scratch" category.

Cheetah's often have failed hunts too. And I'd sat they are ambush creatures too, they spend most of their hunt creeping up to prey, as they cant run for too long. They even hunt at specific times of the day, when most predators are sleeping. In order not to get their meal stolen by hyeanas and such. They have to get very close to the antilopes for example, the speed advantage isnt that massive over a longer hunt.
@StiruzАй бұрын
And snow leopards are closer relatives of the tiger than Leopards. Eurasian Lynx are also capable of dominating a wolf, one on one. And they can move as swiftly and silently as a tiger in Snow. They kinda float on the snow, and they can track for hours, with insane jump reach straight forward and upwards. Like the cougar almost (who should be one tier above) Lynx are big cats with literal jiu jitsu skills. But they'll always see us before we see them, and run away. Hence little to no human death.

I'm a little confused about placing jaguars in the top category ("Say Your Prayers"): I've long heard that jaguar attacks on humans are very rare; mountain lion attacks on humans seem to be a lot more prevalent, in fact. I would've put cougars in the 2nd from the top category, even though, per se, cougars only attack humans somewhat rarely.....but they do happen and fatalities also...

The leopard maxs out at 200 lbs, whilst the snow leopard only reaches around 125-140 lbs at the very most. @taigaforest2009Ай бұрын
@@user-Void-Star And you think lions wouldn't run from hyenas or a pack of wild dogs? Lions are not as brave as you think. And about tigers running from bears, it depends on the circumstance. Tigers eat bears, go search on KZbin of tiger hunting bear, it killed and ate it. Also, tigers fight when necessary, unlike a pride lions, who'd bicker over stupidly uncaused-for things like food, when they're fully aware that they'll get a chance to eat.. so it's no need to fight. Tigers have a lot more things to lose than food so to avoid injuries they'll take caution. But I don't expect someone who bias lions to understand tiger behavior. And one more thing, do you think that a male tiger would care about a female lioness? She isn't his species, so the tiger wouldn't care one bit about that lioness. That male lion can have all the lionesses and the tiger wouldn't care.

Question : YEARS AGO (yikes) - estimated in the 1990's - I remember watching a wildlfe show featuring tribal hunting groups that lived in tiger country. The member of the group at the back of the line was in constant danger of being attacked by a tiger. Researchers identified a solution in which the member at the back of the line wore a mask resembling a face ON THE BACK of his head, giving the appearance that the hunter was walking while facing backward. The show gave me the impression that the strategy greatly reduced if not completely eliminated the tiger attacks on these hunting parties. Have you ever heard of this strategy, the show, or have you ever heard of any updates? I was just curious - Thanks!!!!

Cougars are more dangerous than jaguars and have more human kills. Cougars are larger and heavier than leopards reaching over 220 pounds and they have a higher success rate than tigers. The fact that they can hunt bull elk and moose means we are easy prey to them. They belong in the “dangerous and menacing” category at least.

The largest cougar ever recorded weighed in at 230 lbs and that one was shot over 100 years ago. Youre kinda making it sound like they grow to these sizes on the regular. The average cougar would sit somewhere between 100-180lbs. Theres been loads of incidents of people scaring off cougars and there have even been a few cases where humans killed them without the use of firearms so i wouldnt put them in the highest tier. That being said tho i definitely agree that they should be up there with leopards
