Eleanor, dunno if you'll read this, but aside from me just really enjoying your videos, I actually used and referenced your last video about the Facebook killer when talking to my daughter. I really don't think there was anything really sinister going on, but my daughter had accepted a friend request on an online game from a boy who said he was her age. My daughter did the right thing I'd say, cos she actually came to me and told me about him, and asked if it's ok to give him her real name and stuff. I told her I was really pleased with her for coming to me, and that she should never give out that kind of info no matter how nice the person seemed, and that you don't know who they really are, then without details I told her what I had seen in your video. Also, the boy had started telling her he loved her and stuff. Sorry to ramble, just cheers is all. Trying to teach her common sense and being smart about things anyway, but good to be able to reference something that actually happened.

And with the situation I mentioned, being careful not to scare her, but give her an awareness that these things really do happen, and how to be smart about things online. My mom was/is a prostitute and did it since I was very young, my mom left evidence on the computer, I didn’t know much about sex in 6th grade when I was 11/12, but I kinda figured it out. I also came home with my bed smelling like men’s cologne... so I was a bit traumatized and I confronted my mom, and she tried to deny it, I mentioned my bed and the pics and videos on the computer. Finally she admitted it, she said this is how she helped us survive and we did have a nice house in a beautiful area, but it just made me sad. I told her she didn’t need to do this for money. She could get a real job, my mom didn’t listen. It really messed with me, she stopped using my bed, I have no idea why she didn’t use her own bed, probably because my dad didn’t want that, but using my bed is even more sickening. I told my twin brother about this but he refused to believe it, but then he saw the proof and believed it. It really fucked with us both, kids at our school found out, we got bullied. Eventually when I was 16-18 I started not to care as much. It became normal for me, which is even more sad. My mom still does it, I’m 23 now. My mom talks about it to me openly. My dad tells me he never wanted my mom doing it, it hurt him. He said he tried to stop her. My mom had a few normal jobs but always went back to sex work. I think a lot of what my mom did attributed too my mental health that started at 14, same with pill/opiate addiction at 14 and I still deal with those things. I just hope if you’re a sex worker with a child, think about the child, think about the other parents that could find out and tell their kids about it. Be safe. EDIT PART 2: I shouldn’t have to explain to anyone but I’m not shaming sex work/sex workers, all I’m saying is if you’re in that industry, don’t bring these men around your kids or where you and your kids live. go to a hotel and keep it away from your kids especially if they are too young to understand. it ruined me and my brother, she didn’t try to hide it, and if she did, she didn’t do a good job because I saw these men at my house regularly and they would try and talk to me. I’ve gotten messages to my socials from a couple of these men telling me they know my mom and they know where I live. I wasn’t even a teenager yet. I was terrified. To the people saying my dad should’ve done better for us, or that it didn’t seem like real abuse was going on, are you serious? what I’ve said isn’t even half of it, sure my dad could’ve done better but I’m way past that now. & as far as if it was abusive or not, that’s your opinion, growing up wasn’t easy in my house. I won’t go into further detail. I’m not shaming sex workers, this all started in 2010 and it was a different time, I was 11-12 years old, how else was I supposed to react? what I said still applies, don’t bring your business around your kids. anything can happen, it’s dangerous, don’t trust anyone especially random men around your kids. especially don’t bring them to the address they live at. that’s the message I’m sending here, I just happened to tell my story along with it. thank you all again to the people who support, but for the people giving their opinions on my childhood, can you not assume what you don’t know please? this is solely based on me and my mom, not sex work as a whole. you do you, go get that bag. just be safe. period.

As with any mental illness you have more of a chance of passing it down to any of your children. Both of my parents are bipolar along with a lot of other relatives, but somehow I got lucky and missed getting the bipolar gene from my parents. Though I do suffer from the most severe form of depression, have anxiety, OCD, ADD and a few other things, I’m still a high functioning part of society, unless of course I’m going through bad bouts with my depression.

@mallbratgirl_30054 жыл бұрын
A lot of the time I know deep down that what I’m trying to convince myself of is not true, but I’ll drown that out because all of the pain I deal with mentally can lead to me trying to escape myself and just wish that I could live inside my head, and so I start to, first with just making up stories and things in my head, and it gets worse and worse until I have some kind of break usually. A big part of it for me is blurring dreams and reality, or whenever something bad or traumatic happens to me I create some elaborate story to drown it out so I don’t have to deal with it. Part of it is also because I’m terrified of being vulnerable or being myself because a lot of people in my life who I was really close to have abandoned me especially after I’ve opened up to them, I once told my “best friend” I was sexually assaulted and she called me a liar because I kept it hidden and didn’t want to got to the police and never spoke to me again, a friend I used to talk to about this stuff told me it was fucking with his head and I was just a liar who wanted attention after I tried to kill myself again, or said shit like “if you really wanted to get over what happened to you you would have you just want attention” because once you lie once people will never believe you again, but even though I do lie I can’t help it because I believe it, I try so hard to stop but I create this persona and lose myself because I’m afraid people will see how I really am and leave again, and I want to seem not as fucked up as I am so they don’t get sick of me. I also won’t want to let go of a lie even if I know it’s a lie because I’ve based so much of myself on lies. Sorry if that’s a bit of a long read lol I got a bit carried away
