It was ok in my opinion (more positive than neutral). I think the issue with my perception was my own expectation. Tires was fine, but clearly censored (which is fine). The pre-Tires skits from G&K made me laugh a lot, but the production on Netflix felt watered down. Still good stuff Shane!

I think you are great at breaking things down and your analysis skills sharp, you are very observant and intelligent as youre able to spot little things in shows and movies that the artist(s) does on purpose hoping that the people watching will notice the easter eggs esp if you're a huge fan of someone's work. And all of this makes you quite a good interviewer of comedians and people knowledgeable about comedy and/or are in the business in some way. I like your style man, you're doing a really good job with videos like this and in general your vids are entertaining so thank you for the hard work you clearly put into episodes like this. You got to talk to Ian Fuckin' Fidance dude!! I'm happy for you cuz I hope to someday meet him snd get to talk to him for even just 10 mins. Much love my fellow human. 😎😁🤣🙏🏼✌🏻💚

I just started it, I don't know how someone could claim "the downfall of corporate comedy" when there was just a huge Netflix roast involving the most compromised of corporate industry, probably the most corporate comedy event of all time, but I'll watch to see what you have to say

I just started too, but nobody actually liked the Netflix festival, right? Pretty sure Netflix is just comedy’s sugar daddy- they’ll keep sweet to get the $$$$
@MyloK1llington5 ай бұрын
@therockbottom5256 My perception was that most people loved it. All the comedy KZbinrs we're praising it and Nikki Glaser. Think about it why do you think Kim Kardashian was there? People think OJ Simpson is her sister's father right? Kris Jenner is highly involved in all of the Puff Daddy stuff that is breaking right now. She has had her hands in the NBA, the NFL, Hip Hop, the whole music industry, the court system through judges and lawyer connections and so many other industries. That's how Puff Daddy and all the Athletes, etc. were able to get away with their crimes. Now she wants to control comedy. That's why Kim was forced to date Pete Davidson.

As always, excellent comedy, man! One thing I’ll say: I don’t necessarily think success in comedy is a pure meritocracy. We’re all aware of the ‘Joe Rogan effect’ and the rise of, say, Brendan Schaub (an objectively terrible comedian). So those gatekeepers definitely still exist. They’ve just taken a different form.
@christ94675 ай бұрын
I agree although gatekeeper isn’t really right. I would say promoters and Rogan just happens to be the most popular of such people

This is really to Sam Rubinoff, I have liked your shorts a lot. However, I can never see myself buying to see a short. That said I did and would pay for Gilly and Keeves season 2. So my suggestion is not each short for a couple bucks, but a "Season" for 10-20$.

Awesome content per usual JokeWorld! You should do a long form content video on how mostly all comedians are killing their own careers. I personally have un-subscribed too every self nominated "Podcaster Comedian." Isn't anyone else sick of them jamming hours and hours of bullshit and ads through their podcasts and youtube channels? They put out so much gargabe they run out of funny shit too say during specials. Look at Tom, Bert, Chrissy, all the sell outs. Bring back real comedy and only show up at you're shows and specials. Lets take a legend like Dave Chappelle. Does he have a podcast? a youtube channel? any of this other bullshit outside of comedy just too make a quick dollar?

I don’t like this narrative of people backing the comedian because I will watch anybody’s comedy. I’ll laugh at the jokes I think are funny and who am I to critique the ones that I don’t know if it were something off the mark completely I might have a customer on it, but there’s no reason to create a travel situation inside of common if someone like a Carlos Mencia situation happened and they need to be removed from the culture because they are hurting the comedic culture. Then I understand that but outside of that if you’re working and putting in the work I’ll watch anybody I even watched Hannah Gadsby just to see what everybody was talking about. But I am not going to judge the artwork of another person based on other peoples opinion.
