Dracula, when he did exist was quite special, he couldn’t be permanently killed. His body could be destroyed, but if even a single cell of his existed, he could come back, it would take him quite a while, but he could come back. The only way he was permanently destroyed, his soul was destroyed/erased from existence .

This movie is far from terrible. It’s meant to be goofy and melodramatic to play on the cliches of vampires over the years. When did people start losing their sense of classic comedy? And Nick, a fantastic actor, is far from desperate. He worked and got his affairs in order. He’s just wanted to play Dracula for a long time, and he was F-ing awesome.
