Thank you Mark for reposting this report. People need to remember Ellie Perkins as they remember Lisa McPherson.

I hadn't heard about this one. It's so sad that the demented ideas of a man offended by psychological experts (LRH) prevents people from having the ability to seek psychological care.

Was listed on Operation clambake along with many other deaths affiliated with Scientology .

If scientology is clearly not working for a person, at what point do you say it isn't working and this person needs different help? You would think even scientologists would understand that. Problem is they don't and just start doubling down accelerating the downward spiral of the person... so sad

Thank you Mark for reposting this and keeping Ellie’s memory alive. I went to Buffalo as a sea org member right after this happened. Then a couple months later my mom died and my leaving the sea org saga began. I’ve never seen this episode and didn’t know hardly any of the details. But I am disgusted I was sent there to help the org “flourish and prosper” in the face of such a horrific tragedy that was 100% preventable if he had just been given access to the right mental treatments. RIP Ellie Perkins 💐🙏

They must be stripped of their back channel law enforcement protection. In a country as inherently corrupt as America that's going to be some neat trick.

Wow, thanks for sharing this Mark. The saddest part for me was that they got the good doctor transferred off of his care and put the Scientology one in. Everything else is just plain tragic

Thank you for presenting this sad and cautionary tale. This just shows how dangerous the scientology "tech" really is. And I use that term loosely.

Looking at Scientology for me is like knocking on my own brain, questioning: "what kind of nonsense am I vulnerable to myself - where exactly is that line between some metaphysical idea I think would make some sense and becoming involved in complete nonsense / becoming a cog in a system of criminal abuse". Scientology seems to be so far into the latter territory - yet even though it is so egregious, it still goes on, even in 2024. So fantastic these videos are on youtube now - this will allow a lot more people to see them and help subvert the attempts of Scientology to shield its self-image.

I didn't remember this case either, so I appreciate you memorializing the program & sharing with ppl here. This should be referenced more often bc it's a situation that many ppl can likely relate to, & prob. shudder at the thought of whomever they know that suffers with an extreme psychological disorder not having access, or the benefit of, psychiatric expertise or medications. Their life is riddled with discomfort & fright as well, & they deserve a quality of life too, besides the fact that their emotional instability & extreme expressions can be violent & dangerous for them & others. Such a sad case that never had to end this way. All bc LRH wasn't accepted by the medical community- which, again... shows the dangers created when ppl don't have the full picture or truth abt the man or his idiotic invention of a fraudulent science. They can't accurately gauge or weigh the real impact of traditional psych. treatment. So sad.

So I feel like I have to say this. Just so it's clear to everyone here having schizophrenia or any mental illness does not mean you are inherently violent or that you ever will be. There are thousands and thousands (if not more) of people with schizophrenia thet never harm a single person in their entire life. That being said if you are experiencing any of the symptoms associated with it such as hearing voices, having paranoid delusions, etc please seek professional psychiatric care. Your symptoms can be improved by seeking it.

From my experience as a mental health clinician from 1976 to 2010 people with a diagnosis of schizophrenia are more likely to self harm rather than harm others. Also many diagnosed with schizophrenia due to auditory hallucinations are actually trauma victims with post traumatic stress disorder.

So sad. My family was friends with the Perkins family. I remember, when I was little, feeling so jealous of what I thought was their magical life, when visiting them at Elli's enchanting stained-glass boothe at The Faire 💖💔❤🩹 So strange to see my childhood friend Gabby (Carlson) all grown up too, she lived across the street from me... the Carlsons were family friends too, until they weren't... and I'm guessing that #FSCIENTO was part of that ☹ Thank you SO much @MarkBunker for posting this. I've tried to bring awareness to this story in my livestream protests... but I don't have much reach being such a small channel! I am happy to have a video to direct people to when I mention it 💔❤🩹
