There has been an arrest made on this, on August 1, 2023. Kenneth Maurice Quick Jr. was indicted on charges including murder, conspiracy, etc and for the slayings of LaVIgne and Dumas. He is currently in federal prison on a cocaine charge. So it does sound like a drug deal gone bad after all. The fact that LaVigne was in the fetal position with only boxer shorts and a pancho on tells me it was personal. Not only that, but all the gunshots were to the stomach. The suspect wanted him to suffer to death and humiliated him before doing so by having him strip down almost naked. Dumas was just collateral damage, shot in the head. But his target was LaVigne. Eiher that, or Kenneth is a scape goat and he's gonna be further silenced because he's already in prison. They picked him to cover up the murder and the real slaying was done by a crazy SF guy who wanted to humiliate LaVigne and then kill him as an act of revenge.
