Look at Jupiter, it's not a sphere either, it's a little bit flattened due to it's mass and spin rate

Bandai is the only company to have produced a model kit of the Death Star (the 2nd one) and as small as it is, it has incredible detail for its small-scale size. The AMT one was very half-assed, why did they even bother?

The planet Jupiter is flat at the pole's as well as Saturn it’s caused by gravitational forces maybe the Death Star has a very small black hole that powers it causing a very powerful gravitational field. I’m throwing ideas around. Love your art you’re very talented. When did you started drawing ?

Iapetus, one of Saturn's moons looks very similar to the Death Star. I think that's where Lucas got the idea for the Imperial space station.
