Many metro stations in Russia and all are art worthy and beautiful and....amazingly clean! Russia takes pride in what they do. You will never find such a station that looks like that anywhere in the US. In fact, our subway or metro stations are not places you want to be one second longer than needed.

One thing that comes through loud and clear in your videos is that Russians have great respect and admiration for city public facilities, which are clean and beautiful. In the U.S., there is no respect or admiration for public facilities--these facilities, at least in the cities, are filthy and in disrepair, like the rest of the city. I also wonder if there is an escalator anywhere that is longer than the one in this video? What happens when the escalator needs to be repaired? Do the passengers have to use steps somewhere else in the station? It would be a long walk down and a long walk up. I am hoping you will take us next into a car of the train that is stopping at the end of this video, Sergey. Thank you so much for a truly unusual and beautiful video.
@IvanSolodovnikov19865 жыл бұрын
This station has four escalators (two in each direction during rush hours), therefore reliability is high enough. If, for example, both descending escalators get broken according to Murphy's law, one of the two ascending ones can be reversed. This will increase the queue but will still allow people to use the system instead of going on foot.

The metro only has seven stations that have a depth of less than 110 feet (three on line 1 opened in the 1950s, two on line 3 opened in 2018, and two on line 5 opened in 2019). These stations are located north and south of the city center, along with 5 surface terminal stations.

We were pick pocketed in this metro by a very well known gang (known to the poilice) , Felt a bit stupid as they caught us of guard. It was a minor hiccup and a wasted day trying to sort it out at the police station. Will definatley come back again as i absolutley fell in love with Moscow and St petersbug we did not spend enough time there to see everything and take in the AMAZING food. We did get to see alot of the metro stations though and they are stunningly beautiful.
