A lot of content especially during peak creations months of a game's history just don't end up assigned to people and then since it wasn't recommended to anyone it has low playcounts so it doesn't get recommended to anyone after it's no longer "new" and basically just gets screwed out of ever being seen unless searched for because of Nintendo.

I wonder if people realize this is an impossible task. SMM2 had more levels created in it's first year than SMM1 had created over it's entire lifespan. It's taken nearly 9 years from game birth to clear out the SMM1 uncleared levels.It's taken nearly 4 1/2 years to clear out just 6 months worth of uncleared levels from SMM2 (Seeing as how the game came out halfway through 2019). By may 2021, over 20 million levels had been made in SMM2, approximately 3x the number of levels that were made in SMM1 total. Less and less players play SMM2, several "Good" players retire every month. If we follow previous trends, uploads will shut down for SMM2 sometime in 2025 and playability will shut down in 2028, leaving approximately 4 1/2 years from now for a diminishing playerbase to clear out 3-4x as many uncleared levels as players have struggled to clear out in SMM1. The math alone makes this an impossible challenge even if you can bump those years up a bit. They could shut the uploads down RIGHT NOW and give players until 2030 to play uploaded levels and it wouldn't be enough time at the current rate of clearance.

I like seeing uncleared levels as much as the next person but perhaps we should just ditch the dream of clearing every level. Play uncleared levels because you enjoy uncleared levels, not for some fictional goal.

I think you're just being way to serious about it. I don't think anyone truly believes that every uncleared level can be cleared but it's just a fun thing to go for to get them off the board.

WELL actually…they gave it a sequel because it was pretty popular, but there might not be another sequel at least as soon as the first one was since it wasn’t as popular, thus possibly giving us more time before this game is shut down.
