I will receive the brief case unit tomorrow. Glad to hear it is quieter. I hear the pump noise can keep you up at night. I intend to use it in class C and unheated garage when working there and maybe the SUV. Your video is excellent.

The case does help with the noise by also the setting is also a factor. The higher you set it the more often you’ll hear the fuel pump ticking.

Wall mart has the Hcalory diesel heaters on sale today 3/10/23, for 89.99 for the black one and the white one, I bought both, the black one is nicely made I disassembled it and it has a heat-resistant outer shell made of durable plastic the aluminum was poured and was quality built, the inner burner tube was made of stainless steel very nice, lots of heat and runs nicely. the white one has an aluminum outer shell that is made perfectly the heater is 95% the same the only difference is the burner tube is steel not stainless and works the same with a lot of heat.

Great video…..I’ve just got one of these and I’m not entirely sure I would want my exhaust to be coming out next to my air intake…..is it ok to that?
@Mumfy64
@Mumfy64 7 ай бұрын
Which version are you referring to? On the Briefcase style the exhaust is on the same side that the hot air is pushed out of the unit. On the Tower unit, I can see the concern. The exhaust tube can be bent/moved to any position so that the fumes won't be next to the cold air intake.

If you run your exhaust hose as long as possible inside before it goes outside, you will capture more heat off the unit. Make sure the exhaust is always directed downhill so the condesation can drain our, or drill a small hole in the low spot.

One big oops in their design is running the exhaust straight up. you will get an error as soon as moisture collects in that pipe. They are design to flow downhill and actually have a moisture outlet on the muffler....
@Mumfy64
@Mumfy64 Жыл бұрын
I have looked into this as well and I think you can just put the muffler in the exhaust vent. Or you can bend the tube to face a downward angle when out at the camp.

Love the video, however I have a question about the power. You hooked it up to a jacket 300, how long will the power last before you need to recharge? I'm asking because I want to buy one to setup in a van? 2 things will happen, I'll either run out of fuel or run out of power thru out the night? Can you give me some insight on this? And also what power station can I go with to insure proper funtion.

If you are planning on a van build, I would look at doing more of an onboard setup. route the exhaust to the outside of the vehicle and setup an aux battery system. But if you plan on using a portable battery, look at the Jackery 1000. That should give you enough battery for a few days.

Great video. Question on the black briefcase version, when attaching the exhaust pipe, it looks like you have the exterior pipe going ‘into’ the case pipe, and at the muffler side, it looks like you have the exterior pipe going over the muffler inlet. Is that accurate? And if so, how did you know that’s the way it should be done? I’m not the handiest of guys so the lack of instructions is throwing me off 🙂. Thx
