The reason Punisher wasn't in Defenders because Defenders was planned out since 2013, whereas Punisher was a surprise spinoff that wasn't planned until the character was found to be massively popular in Daredevil season 2. In other words, the Defenders was already in stone by the time the idea of Frank being his own protagonist came around. Plus his show came out very shortly after Defenders.

The punisher was the only reason I got a Netflix subscription, the punisher and daredevil on Netflix was the best comic book to show out of any of them.
@mr.iiconic Жыл бұрын
@@LM-Whit-99 i personally found season 2 of Punisher is to be underwhelming, and I also thought season one of Jessica Jones was oneof Marvel's better seasons. All of DD, JJ1 and Punisher 1 was the best to me. The first half of Luke Cage before cottonmouth randomly dies was also shaping up to something truly excellent. This is just me though. I'm glad you loved Punisher that much, that's the love that made Marvel being him back.

As a kid around 10 years old, the first comic i read/bought was ultimate spiderman 54. I would by sets/lots off ebay here and there over the years but never put too much time or money into it. However i started reading and collecting much more regularly at the age of 26 when i bought issues 1 thru 14 of the Venom comic by donny cates off of ebay. The incredible art and dark/serious tone got my hooked. My comic collection has grown probably 15 fold since then. Spiderman and Venom are my two favorite characters,but i colllect and read a little bit of everything Marvel. My favorite comic outside of Marvel is Fables by far

tbf, Reed isn't an a&&hole really. In the 60's he was actually seen as progressive for his time, for even letting Sue on the team as a superhero, even getting fan mail bemoaning it, which Stan would say 'Reed would disagree with'. And then the other 'a&&hole' moments tend to be by writers who don't get the fantastic four generally, and tend to not understand the characters, let alone Reed. One of the biggest examples are Reed during Civil War and during the Planet Hulk saga. Even when Simonson himself showed Reed being against a registration act YEARS before Civil War happened, and having stopped it from happening, let alone he and his group have had an anti-government edge to them ever since their introductory comic where they sneak aboard a rocket in the first place, and even escape military capture, they wrote him as nothing more than an unfeeling genius who sends villains to the negative zone prison he made... They mischaracterized him so badly they had to retcon him acting that way as him 'having used formulas to predict he had to do that to protect everyone' or something. If you want a true Reed Richards experience: Waid/Wieringo's FF, Hickman FF, Stan/Kirby FF, Simonson FF, and FANTASTIC FOUR: ISLAND OF DEATH are probably the best way to see how they work, and why they're so popular.. because otherwise, you'll probably get writers who think the Venture Bros incarnation of the team is *actually* comic-accurate, and not a dark-satire parody.

@alseid8709Ай бұрын
About the Third Summers Brother, yes, it's Gabriel, but I think it should have been mentioned that the identity of the third brother was a mystery for many years before the introduction of Gabriel. It started with Sinister mentioning "your brotherS" to Cyclops in passing (which also opens the possibility of there being more). At different points, and by different writers, the intended third brother candidates were Adam X*, Gambit, and even Apocalypse (through time travel). *Adam, being the original intended reveal, would have been the product of D'Ken raping Cyclop's mom, and enough information was included in stories to support this, like him having Shi'ar and Human DNA. But after that was dropped, and the much later Vulcan reveal, it was explained that Adam was actually a genetic experiment that used D'Ken and Cyclop's mom's DNA. So he's the 4th Summers brother (and a half-brother, at that), but only genetically.

2:26:06 This isn't quite true : Chris Claremont's original plan for Nightcrawler's father was for him to be Nightmare, a Doctor Strange Villain and Fear Lord (aka an extra dimensional demon). It would have explained why Nightcrawler looked the way he did and had such a complicated way of teleporting. This was the first scrapped idea for Nightcrawler's parentage and what remained of it were Margali Szardos, a witch and Nightcrawler's adoptive mother who took him in just as he was born, and the fact Nightcrawler was found next to a dying woman. Both of these story beats were introduced before either Mystique became part of any X-Men story or Destiny (the mutant precog that was supposed to be Nightcrawler's mother) was created. Lastly, Claremont said time and time again that Mystique's powers were cosmetics only so using her shapeshifting to "do the part" is beyond her capabilities.

at 27 34 you show the Green Goblin but if you look at his face, in the cartoon Spiderman and his amazing friends, he didn't wear a mask, in an episode where they go to a costume dance party , Norman Osbourne is flying home in a helicopter from an insane asylum, it crashes and he is thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious , his skin starts changing into a scaly green color, and his nose and chin and ears get long and pointy, what creature sounds like that, when he transformed he probably thought he was some sort of monster or goblin and he went insane but in the 1967 cartoon of the Fantastic Four, they battled the Skrulls on Earth and Reed hypnotized one into being a cow, maybe that cow turned into Norman but forgot he was a Skrull.
