For the many people who said it failed to be the likes of The Exorcist..... The movie was not intended to be like the exorcist. The message of the movie is Deliverance. The focus was never to only find deliverance from the evil spirit but most importantly the deliverance the mother AND the children needed to experience. The mother needed deliverance from past trauma in her life, and the kids needed deliverance also from the abuse their mother bestowed upon them because of her pass trauma (sexual abuse and broken marraige). After all that ofcourse they needed deliverance from the evil spirit. But the beauty and message in the movie is the mother and her kids getting deliverance. First the mother finding love and forgiveness of her trauma through Christ the Lord and that deliverance passing unto her children. Remember the biblical term the sins of the father will be visited upon the son. In the end they got freed and were ever more closer to be the happy stable family they needed to be. It was a beautiful movie that focused on spiritual deliverance of passed trauma and the message that you should free yourself from those passed hurt before you can move on in love for yourself and in this story your kids.

This movie isn't evil or scary, it's spiritual and about the power of God over the demonic. The mother started out as a non believer too hurt by her past, and in the end she had to give herself over to the holy Spirit to rise up from her trauma and overcome that powerful evil in her son/home. She was reborn in the spirit of the Lord and it was beautiful to see. The entire movie was very well done, very well acted and the message was received. He loves us so much that his just waiting for us to invite him in our life.. I pray to whoever watch this movie, may it restored that faith and find healing thru God's love. Kudos for putting Jesus in the spotlight that our world is desperately trying to eliminate. We need Jesus more and more each day...

Finally! I have always wondered in the Christian community why only we get documented possessions and exorcisms on white ppl and non black-poc. For a long time I figured that black ppl didn’t get possessed, but now this movie (based on a true story) is about to answer that question. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥 I can’t wait to see it. Our first documentation of a black ppl dealing with a demonic possession. I feel like this is something that needs to be talked about in the blk community more tbh.
@TyCunningham.3 ай бұрын
Christians can't be possessed only oppressed. The Holy spirit dwells within is so demonic spirits can't possess a christian. They can oppress the mind via torment.

Did you hear of Demon House? The documentary does explore this story and they even mentioned the exorcist while filming!
@graciekattan661829 күн бұрын
I also feel like black people tend to have better spiritual discernment than most people, hence why they are probably less likely to get possessed. I also notice a lot of possessions seem to happen to Catholics? In every exorcist movie I’ve seen the family are Catholics.

This looks like a story on the demon house in Gary Indiana with a twist on it . The family lived in a haunted house and when the family took the child to the hospital he started climbing up backwards on the wall and the nurse ran out and reported it.. He was haunted because of that house. Lee was here in Gary a year ago filming this movie 🍿, so I wonder if this is the story behind the haunting of that house and family...

So this is the movie based on the demon house. I heard the house was so tainted with so much evil, that Ghost Adventures’ Zak Bagans now wears glasses because the negative energy was so potent that it damaged his eyes. The energy even affects other people’s health and can cause organ damage and failures.

Lee Daniels may have had corny moments in his film career but man he really does know how to tackle this genre. People aren’t so picky about the scripts when it comes to horror so he chose the right genre. Yes he’s getting criticism for this movie but it’s a good film even for those who don’t want to let demons into their home by watching movies like this. You feel for the main character eventually finding faith and it makes you feel strong watching knowing she got through something this scary from the power of Jesus. This movie isn’t glorifying evil and is instead showing you that God overcomes all even after the trauma that this woman blamed him for in her past, and you honestly can’t blame her for feeling that way when you watch.
