I think Fred will be fine. It's kinda like an inverse of Opie and Anthony where Fred being more like Ant kept his job. As long as he finds another producer style co host who can guide the ship, I think he'll be fine since he's naturally very funny and talented.

@@amuroray88agree. Hardy is basically rich. Great producer, knows music and can play off of Fred. My guess is ratings will stay very similar. Most people listen to shows habitually. When you get in the car you put on 98 five regardless of who’s on in the morning. I love Hardy, but it will be hard to replace rich. He was a great straight man for Fred to play off of. It might take a little time to gel but they do great, I think. I liked Rich a lot, but we really didn’t know much about his life. Similar to Opie.

Fred and Hardy are good. Keefe is fantastic on WEEI..Boston has solid sports radio these days.

I listened to toucher and Rich since around 2009 I guess, I wasn’t sure how it would be for me after the split, but the show with Hardy is still just fine to listen to. They have their chemistry and it’s honestly not that much difference.

Fred is an idiot, that’s why. I don’t particularly like the show, but Fred is easily the weakest link on it and rich has been carrying them for a while. Wallach is even better than Fred. A cardboard box would be better.

​@@georgen5882 dude, you're fucking crazy if you think Rich carried the show. When it was just Rich and Wallach during the summer, the show was essentially unlistenable vs this last week where it's been Fred, Roach and Wallach, which pretty much feels like it hasn't lost a beat

I still remember when T&R were afternoon drive-time jocks on WBCN in the late 2000s. You’re right, it can be a pressure cooker, pushes can lead to shoves and eventually someone finally gets up and quits.

Just like any other job, shit gets old, and the itch to do something else starts. Quit my job after ten years make more than twice as much. Just hope they're both eventually on good terms. Bad blood sucks.
