Hi Everyone
I know a lot of students out there are working on their own demo reel to look for a job, so i decide to discuss with you how i plan one of my best demo reel that got me a lot of job interviews.
it took me very long because at that time i was working as a supervisor in Singapore, but at the end i was very proud of it and the response was very good.
So i hope that this video can give you some good idea for your next demo reel.
Malcom rig is from AnimSchool,
All the other characters that i use in the reel are from Animation Mentor

Cool! By the way, My name is James DeMeo! And i'm working on a sequel to a movie called Hydee and the Hytops: The Movie based on the Hydee Hytop shoe brand from Skechers, and i was wondering if you would like to help out with this project?

thanks for sharing this! it's great to hear that all your hard work paid off. i'm currently starting a new demo reel from scratch, and so far I have a good cartoony shot, and a good personal style shot. I'm currently polishing an acting shot, and seeking help from mentors. Also, when I wait for feedback i'm in the early stages (layout/storyboards) for a fight scene. I'm glad to hear you essentially did a similar thing to my plan. My goal is to finish this new reel by the end of the year, on top of work, and my webcomic. Wish me luck!

Alessandro, Thank you so much for your incredible tutorials, sharing your knowledge and experience. I always learn so much!!! It is an honour that you share this with the world. I am wondering, in this video you mention analyzing Hotel Transylvannia frame by frame. Is there a resource that you recommend to be able to do this with big studio animation movies? Many sincere thanks and much appreciation

Hey Alessandro, I love your videos. You mentioned you studied animation for 8 hours a day. Would you make a video talking about what kinds of studying you did? Right now I key through acting and animation, read, and animate. but it seems unfocused and I would like to hear about how you structure your studies.

E' sempre stra interessante sentire queste storie.

Hey Alessandro, great video as always! I want to ask you (and you don't have to answer if you don't want to share that info) Is hiring a mentor for a particular shot something you could/did mention in a job interview ? If so what was the reaction you got, did they admire that or..?? Again very helpful video, I'm so grateful that you share all of this with us.

Hi Alessandro thanks for sharing some tips about animation demo sorry but i have some questions generally about making demo reel 1-if some body make demo with the character of mentor or i animate or ... that didn't pass their course(i mean use it illegally), is it very bad vision for a director or a supervisor or they don't care about these things? and just look at beauty of work? 2-most animation studio prefer to work with animator in their location and presently.i can find very hard those studios who need remotly and freelance animator do you have any idea for solving this problem?Thanks

Hey Alessandro! thank you for this video it is very inspiring to listen to your story. im curious what is your nationality ? And do you ever get interviews from other countries where you have to travel or do they give interview via video chat? And if you get the job are they going to give you a work visa or something like that ? sorry for asking a bunch of questions. As an international student myself im curious on how you transition from one studio to another of a different country. Thank in advance!
@acamporota
@acamporota 5 жыл бұрын
I am Italian. Of course all the interviews that i had so far were from different country. If the country is nearby, the company will take care of the relocation for an onsite interview. If the country is to far, like Canada, they will do just a skype interview. They will take care of the visa as well
