Curious to know, how parents or people with 30+ handle their careers in animation. But thats maybe a wrong topic for this video. :)

Know your ishhh :D I'm working on my own Animation Studio out here on KZbin. Self made, no schooling, but yeah learning from the entire animation community out here. Oh and loving the process of creating my own Studio from scratch. As my sucking at 3D animation has humbled me a great deal over the years. I truly think sucking really bad at something shall become the drive a person needs to make them become far better than anyone ever thought they could become long term.

For a graduating art student that probably doesn’t have a ton of work to share in their reel, would a recruiter or hiring staff prefer shots with animations with a scene or background or should the character(s) be isolated?
@brunosldias5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing that Sir Wade! That is the kind of content that can really help prepare us junior animators. Finding a first job can be a cumbersome task. Keep up the great work!

Hi, thanks for great video! What is your opinion. When some one before working in animation, worked some years in graphic design. Do recruiters or studios care about that or is it just the one thing you apply for?

I'm really curious how that will work out with 2 kids and my wife working full time. I don't think studios will appreciate if I had to stay home because my kids are sick or they have no school that day. So I'm being bold here and say that young students are definitely more advantaged than old dinosaur like me...

14:25 take this advice with a grain of salt, I asked this question a few times during various interviews and it's never well received. You've either got the right stuff or you don't, just shove your greatness down their throats. 40:30 pretty much says it all. I don't think I'd like to work for these people lol.

Initially I was a lil appalled to constantly hear “Be a kind person” “You wanna be on your p’s and Q’s” “you wanna make sure to listen and listen” but I’m not seeing anyone being given a reason as to why they should work with any of these companies like you also have to be a leader someone can work with because the way I hear the directors get Lee way for being kind of rude and covering it up as “Honest” is kind of a red flag. But overall as always I loved this and enjoyed the pointers given here.
