I was hoping she'd answer the question why so many black people vote for black politicians even though the politicians have gaslighted them and don't have their best interests at heart. Phooey.
@letstalkaboutit77342 ай бұрын
Why do so many white people vote for white politicians even though they don’t have their best interest at heart? What blows my mind is how white people lead this country for 200 years making sure black Americans couldn’t vote nor have any Civil Rights yet since 1971 when the 1968 Civil Rights Act took effect nationwide more black millionaires, college graduates, business owners, CEO’s, and politicians have emerged yet white Americans maintain that we don’t know what “our best interests” are. They say this while saying race shouldn’t be part of Affirmative Action while the other 3 protected classes gender, national origin (immigrants), and religion are acceptable. White Americans claim to have our best interest at heart while supporting policies that explicitly prohibits African American Studies in schools. Our best interests is to vote against policies & politicians that are actively against policies that helped us advance. If Republicans even made any real effort to campaign on issues black voters are telling them that were going to make an impact in Black Americans lives they’d get the votes. They don’t ask for the vote and don’t propose solutions to problems that we have concerns about.

Put another way, polish, Italians, British, and other ethnic groups came to America and decided to be called "White". This designation allowed them social, political, and economic superior rights (i.e., white supremacy). While other ethnic groups received other race designations which provided inferior social, political, and economic rights. Some ethnic groups try to join white supremacy but aren't able to based off their ethnic phenotype traits. With this inherent caste system: unless, or until, black people are liberated all other race groups outside of white will not be liberated either.

11:30 is the title discussion. "The democratic party elevates black women above black men," A healthy community means mothers and fathers of the next generation standing together. And the rallying cry of "fighting the patriarchy" often manifests itself in putting women into the roles which allowed young men to become respected providers in previous generations while leaving corporate wealth (which allows middle class women to Lean In) unchecked. A link between much of the discussion is that progressive politics often leads to activists considering themselves experts in what everyone else "should" think. I was that way myself when I was younger but now I can see why black, and hispanic, and white working class men find that way of framing issues so alienating. Ms. Turner seems to be one of the few voices to articulate that. I also had never heard the "stolen valor" analogy from the last 2 minutes, though I think the architecture of identity politics allows almost every identity group to see themselves as the victim of it.

The real reason why there was no Muslim-Palestinian speaker onstage at the DNC is simple: they couldn't find one that recognises Israel's right to exist, and supports a two-state solution, as in, one state for Israel and one for Palestine, with Jerusalem split between the two. Those are the minimum requirements, and they just couldn't find anyone on the Palestine side to say 'yes' to this. Palestinians prefer to advocate for the removal of Israel altogether. I wish I were wrong about this tbh. Please, prove me wrong, name one, give me some hope for peace.

Israel has the same stance. I also disagree that is the reason why they didn't allow them to speak. Harris is a tool for Israel and AIPAC.

Nina Turner is wrong about Palestine. Its not your business. They don't support or even speak your name. Love everyone but help yourself first, meaning help your people here first, then when your strong enough, rich enough, wise enough, help another

YOUR tax payer dollars are being used to commit Genocide against them. They are being starved to DEATH. They have no water or hospitals because YOUR taxpayer dollars have been used to bomb all of their infrastructure. You are asking a people who are in a militarized Apartheid state that has been decimated to contribute to you.... HOW? You can't be that unaware and callous. It's literally YOUR taxpayer dollars that is being used for this Genocide and to keep them oppressed. This is why we as Americans with morals want this to stop. We don't want our government committing or funding war crimes. You need to find your heart... you must have lost it. No way my morals are allowing me to vote for Killer Kamala or to support Genocide Joe. Our Great teachers Malcolm X and Kwame Ture and any of the original Black Panthers would be on the side of the Palestinians. Realizing that we ADOS (Blacks) who are the richest minority in the world can do both organize the black Struggle and support a people who are going up against a Genocide that our Tax payer dollars are supporting. By fighting for Palestinians we are also fighting against our White Capitalist oppressors who are waging war against us and Palestinians.

Good Lord. Nina is asked if the dems play too much identity politics at the expense of class, and she proceeds to play black identity politics for 10 minutes. Amazing

One might add the Dems should do more to be more all inclusive.
