I want to thank you for your content that you have recently been uploading. I have watched each one over the years with each build captivating and amazing me. In fact, your videos have inspired me to do my own walkthrough series. I have been meaning to do now for the last two years, but unfortunately, certain unforeseen circumstances occurred beyond my control. As you have shared your own loss previously, I now share that pain… I recently lost my beloved mother to a long illness she had fought. My grief became overwhelming, and by only watching these videos has the pain somewhat been slightly numbed. My mum always believed that I was capable of making my own series, and Dragon Age: Inquisition was one of her favourite games I ever played. So, hopefully, I will upload my own videos soon, to honour her memory. Again I wish to thank you for your wonderful videos, and await your next brilliant build from my favourite franchise!

I'm sorry for your loss, friend. I can't say I know how you feel because we all feel different when we lose someone, but the pain itself is something I'm also familiar with. I lost my father, and now I watch my mother losing the will to live, and get worse and worse every day. It is maddening. I am very happy that you find some escape from the pain by watching my videos. I wish you good luck with the series, I promise I will try my best to watch it and comment on it regularly! :)

Having played DA:I with 8+ different characters (which is probably nothing compared to your number), I watch your videos with a lot of nostalgia while waiting for Dragon Age 4. :) Funny thing is there were things I never knew or never tried, even after all those hours of playing haha. Like that one ring that makes mages invisible. I never got to test that one out despite 4 of my main characters being mages.

I liked seeing the stunning war horn in use-looked a little harder to get the mind blast masterwork without the chromatic weapons doubling chances to proc, but you still got it! And beyond that, I saw the lucky walking bomb you scored on Gurd! 166k!!! That was incredible! Does he have a weakness for spirit, or did you just have that much crit damage? Anyway, well done!

Yeah, finally I found that blasted Mind Blast masterwork. The brainstorming that we did about it was so good on paper, I just could not let the idea go. Since I found it with this Templar, I had to implement it in some way. :) Well, I had to pick a greatsword, because it fits the Templar much better than the axe or the maul(they would yield more damage, but you gotta be stylish). The Sulevin is pretty good for the massive base damage, even without the upgrade slots. Plus it looks so nice. Good thing about the War Horn is that if you are surrounded by multiple enemies, each of them who are affected by the stun has a chance to proc your masterwork(even if they are immune to stun). So if you stun a crowd of 4, you have 4 different rolls for proccing MB(which is why I was waiting for the Bruisers to come closer: 6 guys, 6 rolls). Since both War Horn and MB has an aoe around you(about the same size as well), this means that if one enemy procs your MB, you can blast the entire crowd with the weakness combo. Which is what happened with the mages surrounding Gurd. It is actually a much more potent weakness combo than the WoH+SP one. You can also use War Horn to stun, and Combat Roll into the crowd to proc MB. Either way, you basically have 2 ways to execute the weakness combo now, instead of just one(which is why I decided to not even bother with Blessed Blades and its upgrade to lessen the cooldown on WoH+SP). Three, actually. Since Pommel Strike can also proc MB, so with a little luck, you can instantly execute a weakness combo on a single enemy just by smacking them with PS. If you are brining Cassandra and she can also stun with WoH... well, you can create a beautiful mess. :) I tried Whirlwind too for a second, but that is a no go, since the silly basic combo detonates the stun instantly, way before your MB could proc. Gurd is a Revenant(undead), so he is weak to spirit. Reaching that much crit is not impossible on enemies who are not weak to spirit, but I would have to use the Superior Battlemaster armor and the Axe of the Dragon Hunter(or the CGS) for it to happen.

haha, glad the rng gods finally smiled on you & let you have the mb masterwork! Can’t believe it took this long! Whenever I get a rare masterwork I want to experiment with I often put it on the most universally useful equipment I can, like a dales Loden (no class restriction) battlemage armor set with the high dex or the snowfleur prowler armor with cunning-something I can swap out weapons with to try diff masterwork combinations like explode on kill vs WB vs critical crafting or even try weapon & shield with 2 masterworks to see which gets the most use of it. Also since armor like those have no class restriction, I can dupe it & put it on companions to see how it works with their specializations. Sera/Tempest can be fun because you can still stun with the antivan fire, wear a grenades belt & have a chance to not consume one each throw which gives you 10 or more usually before having to refuel. Plus with a rune on the Elgar’nan bow, getting the masterwork to go off is child’s play! You can also do the sleep mb combo for less damage/panic effect if you run out of grenades, but I’m getting off track. Anyhow, I always thought the cgs magical blade fits the Templar vibe pretty well-tho the way it hovers over your head out of combat will always leave it far behind the sully when it comes to style imo. I did find cgs the easiest for more reliably landing mb with the elemental damage doubling your hit count & rolls for getting MB to go off tho, but that’s the price for good style! I def agree-Having a big mob to stun & hit with any AoE attacks makes MB much easier to use. I’ve also had some luck with charging bull as a means of getting MB, especially if they’re all packed together right in front like after pulling them with chains, but it can fling some enemies away instead of trampling them down. I didn’t know MB had a higher combo modifier than spell purge. That’s interesting! It is kinda ridiculous having so many ways to get a weaken combo now! Oh, so that’s why Gurd is so vulnerable to WB. Pretty lucky you got it on the corps from the combo damage. Must’ve taken a few tries. Jackpot indeed!

Probably not the strongest, given what Champion and Reaver are capable of reaching in different (and kind of opposite) ways, but definitely the coolest looking. And sometimes presentation is everything.

Ay, detonating that walking bomb is so satisfying ha. I’m very curious how you constructed this build. I see mind blast masterwork and WB, of course along with a heal on kill amulet or death siphon amulet? Did you try him with trials? Too squishy to solo?

Yup, most of your guesses are right. :) Yes, too squishy for solo, so I was very careful in the Temple. It works with Trials, but less effective, because some enemies like the Hako mages receive spirit resistance with Walk Softly, so obviously your combo(which is your bread and butter) is gonna be less effective.

Though awesome, the templar gets boring, just spamming 1 combo every time. Weapon shield is a bit more fun. Reaver has a similar issue but is relatively more engaging. Champion tends to take too long unless fighting against a single strong boss. Maybe it's the game engine or less impactful swings, but warrior class' gameplay feels underwhelming compared to what the previous Dragon age games offered. Bullrush and dodge roll shud should have been included for all warriors. Perhaps 2 more ability slots could have made a huge difference.

Actually, if you look at the footage carefully, I don't just spam one ability all the time. It's a bit more to it than that. If that would have been my goal I would have definitely picked up Blessed Blades to reduce the cooldown on the WoH+SP combo. This time I tried to put a little spin on the traditional Templar build, and I think it came out fine. I will explain it further in my build video. :)

Noticed the war horns. For me, my sense of enjoyment seems to be limited by the ablitiy slot numbers. Also, you probably know already, but always consider the fun factor for every build. I think it's an indespensible part of any game. ​@AKisHerceg

That's very subjective. We each make our own fun, or we're supposed to at least. I personally love Champion, specially 2 handed, and I don't really have very long fights if I'm carrying upgraded Whirlwind. And also Templar, too. Though personally I also pick Whirlwind on my Templar build, so I can pick and choose when to dispel for big spirit damage and when to Whirlwind for smaller but physical damage. And sometimes just blow everything at once like stun, dispel, stun, Whirlwind. Of course there's also pommel strike for single-target stun so you don't blow a big cooldown on one single enemy. In short: The options are there, the only people spamming just one combo are the ones who choose to do so.

@SaganTheKhajiit these are my subjective opinions, sure. While i am on the subject, what also bugs me in Inquisition are some of the ridiculous abilities of warriors. For example, Pummel strikes doing more damage than the rest of the powerful looking two-handed talents feel unrealistic. But overall, the most ridiculous talent is dodge roll doing damages. Most op skill from warrior class. Total immersion breaker. I can rationalize templar light purge and reaver claw damage and animation with lore. Yet, Rolling around killing dragons is just weird.

@@marcomongke3116 Personally I think it should exist, only deal lower damage. I mean. A real world plate armor can weigh as far as 25 kg/55 lbs, and they don't look as heavy as DAI's heavy armor. Imagine cannonballing yourself into someone wearing 25 kilograms of metal, it's gonna hurt. Thing is: skill description says it deals 250% weapon damage (which is already kinda high), but in practice it hit for twice as much. Absolutely agree with Pommel Strike though. They needed to keep it like Origins where Mighty Blow deals the most damage and stuns, and Pommel Strike knocks down. The fastest two-handed skill shouldn't be the most damaging, specially when you aren't even hitting with the business end of the weapon.

Hi sorry to bother. I'm about to play DA:I and i want to know something, does the templar spec with all the upgrades do damage with their abilities to non fade/mage enemies ??? I want to play as a templar but they seem to not do any damage to non fade/mage enemies (The abilities im talking about are spell purge and wrath of heaven)

Wrath of Heaven damages fade creature and magic users only. Everyone else will be stunned by its effect. Spell Purge damages barriers and removes magical buffs from enemies. Combining Wrath of Heaven with Spell Purge creates a combo, that will deal massive damage to anything(including non-mages or non-fade creatures) that is not immune to stun or spirit damage.

@@rafaelyassuda9233 In Inquisition the only enemies who are immune to the weakness combo(which is what the Templar is known for)are enemies who are immune to stun or spirit damage. Everyone else will suffer massive damage(not just the magic users), which is why the Templar is one of the best crowd damage character in the game.

Holy Smite damages anyone with a mana pool. Others get stunned or knocked down from it.

@@rafaelyassuda9233 Templar is the only spec that allows you to have 100% magic res, because only Templars can wear the Knight-Commander Plate armor(40% magic res). Templars also have a unique ability: they can leech stamina from any enemy who has a mana pool. So if you fight against magic users, your stamina is basically endless.

@@AKisHerceg for a dual wielder and two hander isnt that bad i think, but i will see. I played a berseker and champion once it was cool but i craving a new way. Berseker and reaver is for heavy damage but reaver is so bad in origins that i will chose the other 2 options

It is easiest with Bull's axe. His axe has Targets explode masterwork. So either control Bull(or your two-handed Inquisitor), get two mages and set up Barrier as favorite. Bull(or 2h Inqi) should get Charging Bull, War Cry and Combat Roll. Now taunt, charge and roll around and let enemies explode as they die. :)
