I love Rem's voice acting in this episode, she really sells it with the maniacal laughter. Actually all of the VA's do an incredible job in Re:Zero. As a reminder, orge and demon mean the same thing in Japanese (Oni). The Red Ogre who Cried has just been translated in real life as ogre instead of demon (which oni tends to get translated as in anime). Also get used to the cliffhangers, there's a ton of them. I can't imagine watching this as it aired and having to wait a week after every episode. Re:Zero is just so bingable.

Demon and Ogre are just different translations for the same japanese word (oni), so it's just like the story (which is a real japanese children story).

Im not quite sure but I think ogre and demon is the same word in japanese. + you can get rid of curses before they are activated.

Just a note: The word Subaru used for "Ogre", in the fairy tale he told ram "The red ogre who cried" is meant to be "oni" which is translated as "demon" for the rest of the series. Not sure why it's "Ogre" there, but I think the story hits harder if it's demons instead of ogres because Rem and Ram are referred to as demons by the subtitles for the rest of the series in replaced of "oni"

5:30 This is the smartest idea, I didn't realize it when I watched the anime, but seeing the way he argues, yes. He's very right, this season will prove his phrase, it's worth keeping. 4:09 Seeing the guy fly, you can tell that the protagonist's power is very insignificant. 4:45 It's on these occasions that you can refute when they say that the protagonist is stupid, in episode 3 or 4 that you brought, I saw someone talking bad about the Subaru, because of that. However, he's not that stupid, unlike the cameras, where you realize the focus that the anime wants to bring you to the bite by even giving him more screen time, in the experience, it goes unnoticed, the protagonist is not stupid. Often times, when you act funny to make others happy, it ends up that, in their view, you are an idiot. They end up not considering you as a leader. Even though you act this way, you end up always being included in the group, because everyone likes you. I speak from my own experience.

I try to style it the same, but since I don't use any product or sprays it's slightly different every time I record. I don't intend to grow my hair out, though I am considering a rat tail. Only issue would be my current employers likely wouldn't like it from a "professional" standpoint.

one fast comment about the word "demon", the subs fuck up the translation, the word subaru always used for that is "oni" depending on the translation they use "demon" or "ogre" if you search on the japanese mythology aspect wise oni is closer looking and acting to ogres but the own word oni has 2 meanings, oni as the proper species and also oni as a general way to call inhuman creatures. The tale of the red oni who cried is also "oni" as the specific species as well as the saying "when you tell an oni your new years plan they sit with you and laugh about it" (this one has a darker meaning knowing the nature that oni have in folclore)
