Fun fact, in AAA, Judas Mesias is actually named ''El Mesias'' (In spanish: ''The Messiah'') and was given a bit more importance than in his time in TNA. He was treated like such a badass that he got ''Requiem for a Dream'' as his ring entrance theme. Hell, he held the Megachampionship (the promotion's biggest title) for quite a long while before going to Lucha Underground as Mil Muertes. And even though his better years are now past him, he still has a job in the wrestling biz in Mexico and his neck of the woods, Puerto Rico. So yeah, the guy was a big star in Latin America.

@lukethomas69002 жыл бұрын
Reasons the Abyss/Mesias angle completely flopped: #1. It was a blatant ripoff of the Kane/Undertaker feud from 10 years prior, and everybody knew it. #2. Due to the obvious size differences between the two, Mesias almost never looked like an opposing threat to Abyss in any one of their matches/confrontations. #3. Due to his injury in Mexico and the 5 month hiatus he took right after his TNA debut, by the time Mesias made his return and attacked Abyss, the storyline was long forgotten by fans, thus nobody even cared at that point.
