I love how this being on 4kids is significant, not because kids shows having dark themes is a bad thing, but because 4kids is infamous for censoring anime to hell as if most of it needed to be censored in the first place. And some of the censoring 4kids and other 1990-2000's dubs had were honestly worse than the source material, because lesbians getting changed to sisters in Sailor moon's dub with them still being sensual af is hysterical. Pokemon with rice balls turning to Jelly Donuts in only name and not appearance is fantastically stupid.

Friendly reminder that the Tengu Shredder was around for only one season for a total of 12 episodes. The details are unknown, but this is likely because , at this point, the show had started to suffer from production issues from behind the scenes as the producers and execs felt the show was getting *too dark & conveluted* and demanded a soft rebranding in the form of *Fast Forward* and then changed their minds when that simply wasn't as popular, resulting in the show kind of getting cancelled due to the mixed ratings & viewership (go figure, the suits created an imaginary problem, tried to "fix it" and the show suffered for it) and all before the writers could do their planned Shredder War arc where we would have had *Utrom Shredder, the new Cyber Shredder and Tengu Shredder* all popping off and warring with each other to see who gets to rule as the one TRUE Shredder. We did end up getting a satisfying finale with Utrom trying to destroy the multiverse, but it felt like we skipped *entire seasons* worth of content because of executive meddling. Resulting in the Tengu and Cyber Shredder in particular, being deined the screentime they SHOULD have had. Still, the fact that Tengu did so much damage while being active for such a short amount of time really sells how big of a threat he is.

19:15 slight correction to CJ here. Tengu could have 100% spread his influence worldwide. He just didn't want to yet cause he found more enjoyment in conquering the world tham ruling it.
