You mean to tell me The Joker, who went to the Conference finals that year, couldn't get 2 games out of the celtics?. Don't get it twisted bro, playmaking is still the most important part of offense. Great scorers who are also elite playmakers tend to have more impact because if they don't see a good open shot for themselves, they'll find one for their teammates and that's harder to deal with as a team because you have to be aware of open shooters, lob targets, etc. Whereas a guy like Embiid, you know what he's going to do, he's gonna get the ball on the high post, shoot a fadeaway or drive to the rim while looking for freethrows. This is why guys like Lebron, Luka, Trae Young, The Joker or any other scorer playmaker combo is having success in the playoffs. As for defense, Joel is definitely better, but it's not enough to close the gap on offense.
