It’s hard to comprehend. You look around the floor and see 9 other guys all basing their play off of what he’s doing, at all times, without question. He doesn’t see players in front of him, he just calculates the size, speed, and trajectory of the objects around him.

Biggest respect to bron, nash, harden, jordan, but jokic is the best offensive player in a halfcourt setting of all time. The gravity he demands on and off the ball, the involvement off ball, as a go to bucket getter, in the clutch, he just does it all. Im relatively young but in my life i havent seen someone involve their teamates like he does.

The biggest Jokić's quality is that he is incredible "glue" for the team. You can see that in the Nuggets and in the Serbian national team. That's something that make him absolutely unique. He just makes every teammate two levels better. And it's not just basketball skills, but type of character, whole personality. I can't remember any player, now or in NBA history, doing that so intensively. In European, or better say - Yugoslavian basketball, were few guys like him (Krešimir Ćosić, Dejan Bodiroga...), but in the NBA, closest to him was Magic Johnson.

This is solid analysis and as a Nuggs fan I want to be optimistic, but wins like these vs OKC is dependent upon Russ showing some consistency with Mal and AG sidelined. We all know this can be a big ask with an almost 36 YO Westbrook. Now Braun has been great and MPJ will hopefully track like he did in the 2nd half vs the Thunder....obviously Jok will always do that voodoo that he do so well.

You have to credit Christian Braun's ascendence into the starting position and what he's done to be ready. We're getting the spacing because he isn't hesitating to shoot the 3, and he seems to get more and more confident every game with shooting it. Also if you look at KCP's stats this year... oooof. I'm kind of glad we took the gamble. Our younger talent is getting chances to grow, and I hope they develop as the season continues and we're ready to make a run in the playoffs.
@JakeStineСағат бұрын
Agree. Braun had a sophmore slump last year where defenses figured him out and he had to adjust and add new skills to his offense. I wasn't sure he could do it, but he has. As for KCP: It was a smart move by Denver. KCP's hamstring injury had me really concerned. I've had a hamstring injury and it takes 2 yrs for that thing to stop being a constant nagging pain. I've also torn ACL and MCL on both knees (at different times) and I'd take the knee injury over the hamstring almost any day.
@Hechaldo5 сағат бұрын
Westbrook is going to have so much space running to the rim whole season long. Vintage Westbrook in these conditions would've averaged 40+ ppg. He brings so much energy and if anyone can unlock vintage Brodie, it's Jokic.

This win instilled some hope in our season. I was very skeptical of our roster especially 5-8 spots, but Westbrook has really suprised me with his defense, he can improve efficiency wise but the energy he brings is insane. If Murray and gordon come back play like their old selves we can make some noise in the west.
@Cindoreye12 сағат бұрын
The Nuggets are not a strong team at the moment. They are coached well and have the best player in the world putting them on his back right now. Their bench is notoriously weak and with Gordan and Murray out their immediate future is bleak. Regardless, having Jokic will always make them competitive, but they desperately need to add one or two pieces along with getting healthy. Even though I've not been overly into the NBA for a long while, I'm still rooting for them since Jokic is awesome and his play elevates everyone around him.

The thing is that this Denver line up has many inconsistent players.Westbrook can score sometimes 5 points sometimes 30,MPJ sometimes looks like the best shooter in the league and sometimes looks like average G league player.Its the same with Braun,Gordon and especially Murray.I think that Nuggets won OKC because 1.All player had they're night 2.Murray wasnt playing Murray is too important and too well payed to be playing this inconsistent,last year he cost them better run in PO,if Denver wants another ring they have to bring better playmaker that can lift the team and help Jokic in doing it.Murray is a player that does that but once in 3 or 5 games.If he shows up he is massive player but if he doesnt it looks painful on court to watch him and also watch Joker how he must to do all the creativity alone.

Jokic bringing the best out of Westbrook that’s all he needed somebody to believe in him. I think they should bench mpj, slide Murray to the 2 and put westbrook as the starting pg but stagger it. Have Russ come out a lil early for mpj so he can come back in with the bench unit, Westbrook has the conditioning for it. It’s a way for this to be done.
