When that guy who has the Jersey that has every Browns QB listed goes, his family should donate that to a museum as "A legacy of Failure"

Baker was always a solid QB. Injuries and mismanagement were his issues in Cleveland. They stupidly gave up on him and went for the greener grass that turned out to be colored with food dye. Cleveland has a culture problem and it begins at the top.

I remember when i first heard the browns had traded for Deshawn Cosby my coworker was extatic thinking his Browns finallly had a "real QB" I told him "Baker Mayfield is the best QB the browns will ever have" He said something along the lines of "Just wait and see your (the Bengals) SB run was a fluke we run the AFC north now." Needless to say i remind him about that conversation every now and then.

Otto Graham helped lead his team to the championship game for the league that the Browns were in for all 10 seasons in which he played w/Paul Brown as HC. The Browns won those championship games 7 times. 3 in the NFL, 4 in the AAFC before the Browns joined the NFL. Graham was AAFC MVP 2 seasons & NFL MVP 3 sasons.

Next to slinging Sammy Baugh no quarterback was better than Otto Graham during that time in the league.

@r.williamcomm76936 күн бұрын
@Slaykko Definitely not like today with 32 teams & over 1700 players. If you haven't seen Paul Brown's Football Life episodes, it's amazing how much he brought to modern coaching. But also, watch Otto Graham's Top 100 video from 2010. He got the first facemask in football after being elbowed while on the ground out of bounds and getting something like 20 stiches in his mouth at halftime. Graham, like Johnny Unitas & Sammy Baugh, would've been great in any era. The reason for my initial comment was that the video didn't describe Graham & his accomplishments very well. But I still remember excellent QBs like Brian Sipe & Bernie Kosar. As a Steelers fan I'd love to see Browns fans experience a Super Bowl victory.

I mean when the Browns have been a terrible organization for so long, and only has 1 playoff win since returning to the NFL in 1999, I mean it doesn't matter what quarterback they bring in. Until the Cleveland Browns change the culture of their organization, any quarterback that goes to Cleveland will fail and have no chance of winning

Do the Browns evaluate QBs poorly and usually take the wrong guys or do they do a terrible job of developing them and putting them in a position to succeed? We don't truly know the answer to that question, but it's probably some combination of the two.

I think they draft poorly. Only Baker has really done anything good since he left the team. Garcia,Anderson, Detmer and Testaverde weren't drafted by the Browns initially so they don't count. If you look at the ones they drafted no other team could do any better with them except Baker. They just don't know how to pick them. I do agree with Arians though, Couch could have been good with a better o-line and less injuries.

I felt bad for Mayfield since the Browns pulled a Yankees and signed on talent to build around him rather than actually build around Mayfield. Once that talent went, Mayfield was made the scapegoat. That's like saying you have to play goalkeeper (in Hockey) without a team to help block shots or take shooting angles away from the opposing team looking to score on you. Of course you're gonna fail, what did you expect, Mayfield to walk on water like Jesus? (don't answer that. Please)

Thank you for making this video. This subject totally hasn't been covered 1 million other times and there totally arent hundreds of youtube videos about this literal same thing. What the world really needed was another video about the Browns and more virtue signalling over how Deshaun Watson is a "Bad person!!!" Again, thank you for making this. Nobody else has ever talked about the Browns, Johnny Manziel, or Deshaun Watson ever in the entire history of youtube and mankind. In fact, if I type "Brown's QB" into KZbin right now I bet only your video comes up because nobody has ever talked about this before.

The Johnny Manziel selection didn't "go the way everyone expected." It went precisely, exactly, down to the last detail like a blind man could have seen the way everyone expected. Everyone except the Browns front office, of course. Johnny Manziel will very likely be the one and only first round draft pick who will skip out on practice in the middle of the season, get spotted in a casino wearing a wig as a disguise, and have the reaction of the entire football world be a collective shrug, a shake of the head, and some expression of the sentiment, "well yeah, that's the sort of shit we all knew Johnny Manziel was going to do as soon as he got the first payment from his rookie contract." Well, everyone except the Browns knew it. Johnny Manziel was too much of a long-shot qb draft pick for the Jets, and his character issues were too much of a concern for the Raiders, and JaMarcus Russell was wasted on purple drank when he hugged Rodger Goddell. But the Browns saw the dumbest, most guaranteed fiasco of a draft pick ever and said, oh yeah, baby, there's the guy who will lead us to glory. With our stable team culture, high moral standards, and demonstrated ability to develop young qbs, Johnny Manziel will be a perfect fit as a Cleveland Brown. And for once, the Browns front office was exactly right--Johnny was the very archetype of a Browns qb.

Had their guy, that wanted to be there. Led them to playoff. Got injured, played through it, played bad bc of it. Trade next 3 yr draft picks for Deshaun Watson. Baker making playoffs in TB now. SMH.
