When Holly ran ahead like that, it's because she was panicking. Juno was Holly's teacher & mentor, prior to them all discovering Juno's treachery, tricking them all into an unknown cave system. Holly subsequently realized Juno was an egomaniac who could not be trusted, & lost all faith in her. It was also already hinted at several times that Holly was young, inexperienced, & prone to be reckless in her quest for an adrenaline high. So in her fear, she let her adrenaline take over.

@@obdiane Perhaps so, I'm only speaking on the people I have watched obviously. Though I will say in my experience that, rather than the gender of the reactor, it's usually those closer to my age or older than me OR horror reactors that catch it, sometimes folks genuinely get too jumpy or scared to catch tbh. The last female reactor I watch missed the "love each day" call back to the husband specifically, but did pick up on the vibe in the opening scene and surmised correctly there was TeNsiOn. I just really enjoyed how he called Juno out IMMEDIATELY 💀😂 it was very refreshing

Love this movie. It’s a classic and it shows you don’t need lots of big effects. The suspense and horror combined made this a truly scary movie. I love watching your dog when they stand up, it’s the cutest thing ever. Thanks for reacting to this. Blessings from Ireland 🇮🇪

You should definately check out the behind-the-scenes footage of how this movie was filmed. It was all done on a soundstage, with different tunnel sections that could be moved around so the camera could go in. There's also bloopers footage of the monster actors goofing around. It might settle your nerves to see how the illusion worked.

But I’m not the best judge of horror movies. I really don’t like the genre. So I’ll leave that determination to horror movie fans. It still makes me happy to watch his reactions to them though.

I like this ending. It’s not cliche with her escaping and the movie ending. It’s more dark and realistic. She obviously has nothing left to live for and is just gonna slowly go insane in that cave everyday until she’s dead or eventually turns into one of those things

I adore this movie and how they made it. I was waiting for that first real close up jump scare from behind to send you out of the chair. This is a great newer movie with an oldschool feel with lighting and creature effects and it brings the element of confined spaces which most of us freak out in, myself included. Cheers.

Absolutely LOVE this movie and so glad you did a reaction for it. There are so many good jump scares (as you found out), a huge amount of tension and sheer thrills to this film and anyone with even a mere hint of claustrophobia will be creeped out by this film. Also, there are different endings for the UK version and the US version as well, although I'm not sure you're willing to put yourself through this again to see the difference 🤣 There's a Descent 2, and even though it's not as good as this 1st film, it's still a decent watch.

Hi JL Got here later than planned . I remember watching this until those women got to where they lit up the "red light" in the cave . When this was released and I have not even tried to watch it again before now. I already feel the tension in between my shoulders and I think I am going to need some Rum in my coffee to continue . #canofwhoopa## I forgot how stressful this movie was but I will keep watching.... I am with you about this trip. It is not my cup of tea ; a low key rafting stream wouldn't be bad but this level is out of my league and for good reasons . Thank you for this stress test and I look forward to more movies here.

The last caves I went in , and I saw crazy things in there like evil things looking back at me just waiting for me to respond. I didn’t want to say anything about it till we got out of the caves. My girlfriend at the time said I should have said something. It’s sorta like how some people say that there are demons and evil spirits that attach themselves to people. I could have sworn there was something attached to her back . I tried to take pictures in that cave, but everything came out blurry. It’s been more than 12 years, and this movie kinda started me thinking about that experience.

I remember when this came out, but I actually did not watch it until the last half decade (mid 2010s). As someone in the geology world, you couldn't even pay me to go that deep into caverns. I have been in open cathedrals within the caverns mouth,in abandoned caves,but the deeper caverns/tunnels were walled off. Even more off putting than the clastrophobia that comes to the surface for me,when watching cave footage, is the idea of another world below our feet, living freely inside rock formations never touched by humans. I used to live near enough to the Chatoog and the area is very densely forested, to the point that sometimes you end up living inside a national forest. Also PSA: remember to let people know your location if you venture into any backwoods or sparsley explored regions. Even if the location is general, let someone know! PS: I love when your fur side kicks know your feeling something during a film. such good bubs!
