The devil’s purpose for temptation is to split us from the fabric of God’s love-to make us believe that God doesn’t keep His promises. He’ll use people, events, health, wealth, guilt, injustice, and even the Word of God to bring out the worst in us.
But God has given us an arsenal to use against Satan. God’s people, His Word, and most of all, Jesus. When the devil comes to remind you of your past, you can use the Word of God and the work of Jesus to remind him of his future. Jesus has already fought the devil and won. It’s a done deal.

I remember when we were growing up...my parent's business went bankrupt, the bank seized all of our property including all of our furnitures..my parent's tried really hard to stand as much as they can..that was when my parent's gave their life to Christ and then some of their friends told them that if they convert from catholicism to being born again that they would suffer and sure did, they saw what was happening to our family but thank God, we never had any major sickness or death in the family...we stuck it out together...I don't even remember being bitter to God...I was so young then to understand that much but I know in my heart that the Lord is going to get us through...the bank was going to seize one of our last property but then one of our closest friend paid the bank for us and the contract was that we can pay him back whenever we could, God bless his heart...I told God that if I can't go to school because we don't have enough money for me to enroll, I said to God "its okay"..but I was hoping too...then my aunt came and told me that she was going to enroll me at the university and she paid for my entrance tuition and she told me that I can pay the rest when I get a part time job..😅...what a blessing truly...I never read the bible, I never knew God that much before but I knew in my heart that He is a good God...we even have times when we have nothing on the table and I can see my parents so down all the times...I guess maybe the Lord let us experience that hardship because then we knew who were true to us and that we saw all of the good things He has done for us in the midst of all our hardship in life...today, we are all married and we got our own family, we are doing well in life, all glory to God!...I said to myself that if tough times comes back, I am ready...I have been there, it's nothing new to me..I am used to having nothing..but I know I would never be bitter towards God...I saw what He did before sustaining us and I will see it again...❤❤

@27:05 The way you handle it is you go back to the gospel. The gospel says we are accepted in Jesus, just the was we are as vile sinners (that last part is my addition). And there is nothing I can do to make Him love me less. And nothing I can do to make Him love me more. Amen Praise the Lord for this truth! Hallelujah! We are sinners. We do nothing. We only sin. Right at the end here, I've had a thought. By the time Jesus incarnated Himself (yes, I know we could fight for centuries about the complexity of the Trinity, and whether the power of the Holy Spirit is the same power as Jesus and the same power as the Father, or whether the actions of one person of the Deity are individual or separate in any given sense, but moving on because we can't really understand that aspect of Him anyway,) Satan had enjoyed success in the temptation of _every single man who had ever existed._ It seems like it would be easy to feel overly confident, when your career record is something on the order of one billion to zero.
