The Destruction of Baqee

This cemetery contains the graves of the Prophets Grandsons, family memebrs and some prominent companions. But on 8th Shawwal 1345 the mausoleums in Jannatul al-Baqi were demolished by King Ibn Saud. A documentary searching into the hatred against the family of the Prophet Mohammed.

Furrukh Rao not true this shrines was all build all over from Makkah to Madina by Arabs and Sunnis and then demolition happened by wahabi Saudi in the 1930s

as a hejazi my grandfather Sayed Ali was born in Al abbawa not far from Madina and mother of rasool allah aminah alehaasalam.. now here grave site is also demolished :( 1991 they crushed it

Any civilization or community is judged by how they care for their deceased. This is not a sectarian issue, Sunnis and Shi'ite should stand together in opposing the house of Saud in their destruction of these holy cites. In Surah Kahf Allah tells us that the people of the companions of the cave built a Masjid over their grave. Why would Allah tell us this if it was a haram thing ? Furthermore, the Wahabi destroyed the Sahabi's graves today and they would destroy the grave of Our Nabi (S) tomorrow if they knew that nobody would do anything about it.

I think that what is being missed in this story is not should we build or not build upon graves, but what is being missed is the lack of respect that WE should have toward the Ashaab-i Kareem and the Ahlul-Bayt. The sons of Saud did not just destroy the tombs of the Ashaab and Bayt they desecrated their graves by bull-dozing over their graves. None of us were there to witness this horrifying site, but just try to imagine what that must have looked like when they drove over the Ashaab's graves with bull-dozers . Now in our times, these characters are threatening to destroy the graves of Imam Husayn (a.s) and Imam 'Ali (a.s.) , just imagine that. No matter what your differences are, if you are a Sunni or Shi'i, how could you ever think that it is a good thing to say such things, to even think such things, let alone to do such things ? Allah tells Our Prophet Muhammad (S) to say in the Holy Qur'an, "Say, I do not ask any reward from you ( in return for this message ) save that you love my family." All Muslim's know that loving the family of Rasulullah (Sallallahu 'Alayhi wa 'Ala Aalihi wa Sallam) is compulsory upon them and yet no other family in the history of mankind has suffered as much as they and their suffering has not stopped because even now, while they are resting in their graves , their very tombs are being threatened . O' Yea Muslims, fear Allah ! Have mercy so that Mercy may be shown to you also. I can not believe that the very house in which the Prophet (S) was receiving Wahiy in is now a public bathroom, Astaghfirullah ! Who thinks like this ? This is worse than Shaytan A'udhu billah ! I can not believe that some Muslims would do these kind of things. They bury their own families with so much pomp and celebration while the first five A'immah of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.) are resting in none descript graves. Should they not be honored now as they were honored while they were amongst us ?

Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn `Abdul Wahhab condemned what was condemned in Al Quran and the inspired events of Prophet Muhammad. They may have followed into some ways of the Jews and Christians that were not Islamic, but they were not supportive of forcing pure monotheism (invoking no intercessors nor otherwise making partners to God, nor pilgrimages to graves and good deeds in the name of creations) and destroying what differed nor forcing life to only be explicitly upon what is supported by revelation and inspiration.
