I think the issue is in assumption that Maula Ali is like any other person and not miraculous which is incorrect and when riwayat being followed shows the martaba of ahlulbaiyt. In regards to why maula Ali did not fight or stressed back for power its very simple to protect Islam a war between Muslims at that time when peoples thoughts are divided would lead to bloodshed.

The next big thing for Muslims is to get past the past and unearth, gather the lost literature and teachings of Ahlulbayt due to persecution and what not! @@alimehdi2972 Ghadir Khumm Linguistically: Mawla has many meanings like sayyid, helper, someone you love and aid. Mawla comes from the word Al walayah, not Al wilayah (Al waliyy) which means leadership. They’re 2 different words. The proof that the word Mawla doesn’t mean khilafa from the Qur’an - Allah mentions an ayah with the word mawla, mentioning Allah, the believers and the angels: ‎فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ مَوۡلٰٮهُ وَجِبۡرِيۡلُ وَصَالِحُ الۡمُ ‎ؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ۚ وَالۡمَلٰٓـئِكَةُ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ ظَهِيۡرٌ‏ then Allah is his supporter, and Jibra’īl (Gabriel) and righteous believers, and after all that, angels are his helpers. (66:4) According to Shi’a logic; Allah is using the word mawla (مَوۡلٰٮهُ) in this ayah, Allah is a khalifa over the prophet and THEN the angel Jibreel is also khalifa, and then the believers are also khalifas according to Shi’a argument which makes no sense. Therefore, it doesn’t mean leadership. Context of Ghadir Khumm: There was a disagreement over ghaneema (spoils of war) amount between Ali and buraydah ibn husayb, Buraydah disliked Ali for that and complained to the prophet, so the prophet backed Ali and reminded the people about Ali because he knew that later on people will make Takfeer on him and rebel against him I.E the Khawaarij. At ghadir khumm, the Muslims were returning back to their homes and heading towards medina and the surrounding areas after Hajj. There was only a few hundreds or maybe thousands of Muslims. If Ali becoming khalifa was so important, the prophet would of announced it in front of all the people at Hajj ,The Farewell Sermon ( خطبة الوداع, Khuṭbatu l-Widāʿ ), where there was around 100,000 Muslims from all over the world like Yemen, Iraq, Sham etc. Nahjul balagha letter 6 to Muawiya 446: "Verily, those who swore allegiance to Abu Bakr, `Umar and `Uthman have sworn allegiance to me on the same basis on which they swore allegiance to them. (On this basis) he who was present has no choice (to consider), and he who was absent has no right to reject; and consultation is confined to the muhajirun and the ansar. If they agree on an individual and take him to be Caliph it will be deemed to mean Allah's pleasure." Ali himself didn’t know about being divinely appointed? Oh Shi’a why’s that? He confirms and acknowledges the Muhajireen and Ansaars decisions to appoint the Khalifa at the time of Abu Bakr and his own. Ali refuses khilafa a year after Ghadir Khumm event (Bukhari), 24 years after (nahjul balagha): The author of the book Nahj al-Balagha - a reliable source for the Shia, reports that Ali RadiaAllahu Anhu refused to be the Caliph after the martyrdom of Uthman when people gathered around him requesting him to assume the caliphate and besought them to accept their leadership. “Leave me alone; go in search of somebody else….If you leave me alone I shall be just like you as an ordinary citizen of the Islamic State…As a matter of fact I like to guide you and advise you more than I would wish to rule over you.” Source: Nahjul Balagha p 136, see also pg 366-367 and pg 322. See pg 263 the Nahjul Balagha published by Islamic Seminary Publication Translated by Askari Jafri.(Sermon 95.) Hadith in Sahih Bukhari: Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas:

'Ali bin Abu Talib came out of the house of the Prophet during his fatal ailment. The people asked ('Ali), "O Abu Hasan! How is the health of Allah's Apostle this morning?" 'Ali said, "This morning he is better, with the grace of Allah." Al-'Abbas held Ali by the hand and said, "Don't you see him (about to die)? By Allah, within three days you will be the slave of the stick (i.e., under the command of another ruler). By Allah, I think that Allah's Apostle will die from his present ailment, for I know the signs of death on the faces of the offspring of 'Abdul Muttalib. So let us go to Allah's Apostle to ask him who will take over the Caliphate. If the authority is given to us, we will know it, and if it is given to somebody else we will request him to recommend us to him. " 'Ali said, "By Allah! If we ask Allah's Apostle for the rulership and he refuses, then the people will never give it to us. Besides, I will never ask Allah's Apostle for it." (See Hadith No 728, Vol 5) Source: Sahih Bukhari 6266 THEREFORE, Ali himself didn’t know he was even supposed to be KHALIFA but SHI’A say he was.

Being a Muslim we all believe everything happens with as per Allah will....so first Khalifa Hazrat Abu Baker ra, and then second Khalifa Hazrat Umer ra, third Khalifa Hazrat Usman n forth Khalifa Hazrat Ali ra were n everything that happened in all those years were happened as per Allah will n Allah knows the best...May be there is a lesson for all the Muslims to come until the day of judgment to read the factual history with truth and learn the lesson...each Khalifa had a very important and unique role to play which all of them did and that too Allah Almighty will.... For me this argument or division amongst the muslims from those days might have have made some sense and whatever has happened in this history has a lesson for all of us but people who are still divided and debating about this issue is totally useless and they are wasting their time in a useless argument and some Muslims who dislike or even hate some Sahaba on the basis of those things which happened 1400years ago are just making it impossible for themselves to get into paradise... There were thoseands of Muslims who embraced shahadut in those war and we are nobody to judge wo is right or wrong...Even the least pious of anyone from those days is millions of tes much pious then today's scholors from all school of thoughts or sects...May Allah grant them all the highest place in jannat and guide today's Muslims to be united rather ther debating the events from those days coming from multiple sources and many lies have been added over these 1400 years and anybody who dislikes any companion of Hazrat Muhammad PBUH and still believes he can enter jannat is totally lost and must ask Allah Almighty for forgiveness...May Allah Almighty guide us all and show the right path..... And it's a totally useless debate about wat happened between those Sahabas, it was mostly political dispute for the sake of power and doesn't effect the teachings of Islam.

Denying their rights, the beloved Ahlulbayt (family of prophet Muhammed saw) is denying Allah the most gloried. The Quran and Ahlulbayt will arrive together at the river Kauther, before Prophet Muhammed saw. Whoever denies them, risks their head in the fire of hell.

This is is famous to people in Persia. But of the 120,000 people attending from Yemen, Egypt.. Nobody cares. People from Persia didn't attend because they still Majoos. Where did they get this info? Even Ali didn't care of this event because he did not fight for his Immamate /caliphate. Even story from the Qur'an, Prophet Noh's son, that emaan cannot be inherited. Ali refuses khilafa a year after Ghadir Khumm event (Bukhari), 24 years after (nahjul balagha): The author of the book Nahj al-Balagha - a reliable source for the Shia, reports that Ali RadiaAllahu Anhu refused to be the Caliph after the martyrdom of Uthman when people gathered around him requesting him to assume the caliphate and besought them to accept their leadership. “Leave me alone; go in search of somebody else….If you leave me alone I shall be just like you as an ordinary citizen of the Islamic State…As a matter of fact I like to guide you and advise you more than I would wish to rule over you.” Source: Nahjul Balagha p 136, see also pg 366-367 and pg 322. 'Ali bin Abu Talib came out of the house of the Prophet during his fatal ailment. The people asked ('Ali), "O Abu Hasan! How is the health of Allah's Apostle this morning?" 'Ali said, "This morning he is better, with the grace of Allah." Al-'Abbas held Ali by the hand and said, "Don't you see him (about to die)? By Allah, within three days you will be the slave of the stick (i.e., under the command of another ruler). By Allah, I think that Allah's Apostle will die from his present ailment, for I know the signs of death on the faces of the offspring of 'Abdul Muttalib. So let us go to Allah's Apostle to ask him who will take over the Caliphate. If the authority is given to us, we will know it, and if it is given to somebody else we will request him to recommend us to him. " 'Ali said, "By Allah! If we ask Allah's Apostle for the rulership and he refuses, then the people will never give it to us. Besides, I will never ask Allah's Apostle for it." If the word Mawla means Sayid/helper, was Imam Ali not a helper of the people? He’s known to be the “Father of the Orphans”. He is the one who fought all battles alongside the Prophet and was Alhamdulillah victorious in all of them. He was the one who slept on the Prophet’s bed when people were against him and were coming to kill him. Was he not given all these opportunities to serve the messenger of Allah subhanu wa ta’aala because he was chosen by the Almighty himself? Allah gave him the intelligence, the wit and the bravery of a warrior and a helper of the people (the Muslim ummah) He was chosen by God to be the son in law of the prophet Mohammad pbuh, when so many others including Umar asked for Bibi Fatima salamullahalayha’s hand in marriage. Why did the prophet choose Imam Ali for all these endeavours, battles and most importantly continuing his progeny, his family through Imam Ali? There are certain qualities needed to guide people, to aid them and Imam Ali was indeed capable of it all and therefore, chosen to be a part of the Ahl-al-kisa, the event of Mubahila. Where Imam Ali was certainly not greedy for power and for “ruling” over people, he was the only one who was deserving of it all and the Prophet was very well aware of that which is why the event of Ghadeer e Khum even took place, he raised Imam Ali’s hand announcing Man Kunto Mawla Fa haza Aliyun Mawla, where he could’ve also raised the hand of Abu Bakr or would have asked for him during the Battle of Khayber or so many others. The Prophet did give his people an opportunity to acknowledge the importance of this event and regard Imam Ali as the appointed Caliph and where some people did realise the significance of this event, others did not. Who else other than Imam Ali could have the patience and willingness of sacrificing his family over the love of Allah and his Messenger Pbuh over spreading the message of Islam? Therefore, Allah’s apostle hosting the event of Ghadeer, reciting the lines and raising Imam Ali’s hand is a message enough for people to understand and acknowledge the importance of Imam Ali a.s. being the Wali of RasulAllah swt.

Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said: in my nation ali is most knowledgeable person after me ...and all 3 khilafas were knowing this..soo think without bias wasn't ali a.s most eligible person for khilafat..besides he was divinely chosen as wali.

The prophet Muhammed saw is the greatest man and last beloved prophet for all humanity. Allah is truth, His word is truth. His Prophet's word is truth. So if he openly declared his rightful successor which would be a manifestation of the truth of Allah and his beloved Prophet Muhammad saw, then rejecting or falsifying it is the root of all the problems in Islam now. The grandson of prophet Muhammed saw was slaughtered at Karbala, he sacrificed himself for the oneness of Allah, for his true word , the Quran. Denying their rights, the beloved Ahlulbayt (family of prophet Muhammed saw) is denying Allah the most gloried. The Quran and Ahlulbayt will arrive together at the river Kauther, before Prophet Muhammed saw. Whoever denies them, risks their head in the fire of hell.

That book should be called "how I was misguided" because it mistranslates& misinterpretates the hadith on Ghadeer and Thaqalayn. And takes false hadiths to give negative image of sahabas. Thats the same tactic anti-islamists use to give bad image to Prophet a.s
