The actual name of this movie is "The Devil Commands." It is from 1941. Karloff is even more amazing once you realize he suffered major back injuries from wearing the 40+ pound Frankenstein costume. He was in constant pain for the rest of his life!!!

What a gem! I have to say I’m thrilled to read all the positive comments and realize how much he was loved. It’s true, as one person wrote..Karloff did break his back. Carrying Colin Clive up the ladder in the windmill, ..let me just say this..and it’s meant to be A FRIENDLY CHALLENGE! ok? the telepathic corpses! is an extraordinary idea. The plot is a bit weakened by those electrified helmets. Less sparks and more voices from beyond the grave! but the film still holds its own. And Boris Karloff... senza parole
