Us pipers put a g grace note in front of the birl and a tricky d c bubble at the end of the first line. Both may indeed be easier on the fiddle, but you, my dear, are one of the few fiddlers who get them both right. So nice to hear and so rare. BTW, 60 yrs ago I was piping for dancers and was subsituting Rsmsey’s long note for the bubble and then the moms’ of fling contestants complained that my piping didn’t support the steps…took me weeks to get the bubble right.
