The Devil is in the Details - 1928 de Havilland Gipsy Moth

This 1928 de Havilland Gipsy Moth was originally shipped to the US as part of the company’s first dealership in this country. Owner Mike Maniatis, EAA 126494, brought the pristine airplane to Oshkosh for EAA AirVenture 2019 soon after completing an exhaustive restoration. a friend of mine has a gipsy moth. It was buildt in 1926. He is 86 years old and still flyes it.

Absolutely beautiful aircraft you’ve done an amazing job on her. There is just one tiny error (and I mean Tiny). The propellor has a decal for the Airscrew Co ltd which says it’s from “Wewbridge, Surrey”. It’s “Weybridge, Surrey”. It’s really only noticeable by someone from England but I thought I’d mention it. Either way she is stunning and you should be immensely proud
