The Codex Gigas is otherwise known as the Devil's Bible - but why?
"The Codex Gigas ("Giant Book"; Czech: Obří kniha) is the largest extant medieval illuminated manuscript in the world, at a length of 92 cm (36 in). Very large illuminated bibles were a typical feature of Romanesque monastic book production, but even within this group, the page-size of the Codex Gigas is noted as exceptional. The manuscript is also known as the Devil's Bible, due to its highly unusual full-page portrait of Satan, and the legend surrounding its creation.
The manuscript was created in the early 13th century in the Benedictine monastery of Podlažice in Bohemia, now a region in the modern-day Czech Republic. The manuscript contains the complete Vulgate Bible, as well as other popular works, all written in Latin. Between the Old and New Testaments are a selection of other popular medieval reference works: Josephus's Antiquities of the Jews and De bello iudaico, Isidore of Seville's encyclopedia Etymologiae, the chronicle of Cosmas of Prague, and medical works: an early version of the Ars medicinae compilation of treatises, and two books by Constantine the African.
Eventually finding its way to the imperial library of Rudolf II in Prague, the entire collection was taken as spoils of war by the Swedish in 1648 during the Thirty Years' War, and the manuscript is now preserved at the National Library of Sweden in Stockholm, where it is on display for the general public."

I'M WAITING FOR THE DAY WHEN - The VERY FIRST PAGES of the VERY FIRST BIBLE are discovered, and have the words... >>> "I dedicate this book to my beloved wifey Doris... The story, all names, characters and incidents in this book are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings and products is intended or should be inferred, and thus are of mere coincidence". 🤔😏😉😛 😎🇬🇧

I watched an old programme about this. Out of all of the old European myths/ legends, this one is the strangest by far as science tends to quickly quash these types of tales such as “Jesus’s shroud” using carbon dating and other methods. However this one has been tested and shows no change in the handwriting style which one would have if they had written over a long period of time, as more so if they were writing constantly as this would eventually cause cramping and arthritis, another interesting note is that if they were to continuously write this in a locked cell, then the lack of vitamin D would hasten the development of bone type diseases so the handwriting would certainly change through the book, but it didn’t. Spooky.

Should recheck that Jesus Shroud debunk claim. Serious claims to the contrary on that one :). Dating ash that landed on it during a fire will definitely skew. Looking at the actual fabric and the plant fiber it was made of tell a very different story consistent with 1st century stitching and fibers in that region at that time. Also carbon dating to the contrary. 😊

If you haven't been keeping up repayments then he must own at least 7/5ths of your soul by now with the accruing interest. Maybe that's why he kept popping up in this video? to keep an eye on his investment...

I'm quite a fan of all of the drawings where one person is carrying the book on their own as if the thing doesn't weigh 170 pounds. Edit: It's not the weight that would make it difficult to carry. Something that heavy isn't necessarily difficult to pick up, but the size in combination with the weight must make for something very difficult if not awkward thing to carry.

Jesus Loves you so much if you see this message don't waste the opportunity to get saved Jesus Christ is not A Religion its a Relationship! Personal one! we all have sined and felt short of the Glory of God and are on our way to hell already but God So loving sent Jesus Christ to pay for our iniquity sin so we can get right with God and go to his kingdom You cannot earn ur salvation by doing works or being a good Pearson because our Good deeds are like filthy rugs to God this is what you need to do Repent of ur sins be truly sorry for everything you done change your mind turn away from sin and sinful things and Trust in Jesus Christ that he died for you. this is what sin is For the wages of sin is death but the gift of eternal life in our Lord Jesus Christ its not what we do its what God already done for us Jesus already paid for our Sins you just accept him as your Lord and Savior confess him before people that he is ur God and Savior and you will be saved Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 John 3:16 For God So loved the world that he gave his only Begotten Son Whoever Believes in him shall not Perish but have Everlasting Life. Ephesians 2:8-9For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH JESUS LOVES YOU! I used to have night terrors as a child. I still remember one vividly. I was standing on a 4x4 beam that stretched endlessly with more beams running parallel. And there were these little creatures that kinda looked like that drawing of the devil. They were laughing at me and jumping from beam to beam. I couldn’t breathe at all and could feel the heat of the fire below me. I tried to move but I could only take one little step. This happened for what felt like a eternity then as I started to fall in the fire. I woke up covered in sweat. I was 11 and only watched veggie tales and good kid shows. I don’t know how my mind created that situation. Still creeps me out and I’m 21.

if i ever have bad dreams, sleep paralysis, or wake up in cold sweat, it's when i'm sleeping on my back. this is probably because on my back, my tongue and jaw fall back and constrict my airway, causing snoring and probably sleep apnea. sleeping on my side gives me more vivid dreams, less bad ones, and makes me feel more rested, probably because i can breathe easier. also, intracranial flow of cerebrospinal fluid has been measured while sleeping on one's back vs on one's side, and side sleepers have improved intracranial CSF flow compared to back sleepers. it's been hypothesized that poorer intracranial CSF flow contributes to the buildup of plaques in the brain which cause alzheimer's. so i've been making an effort to always side-sleep whenever i'm conscious enough to position myself, because of the science in addition to my anecdotes

I've got a theory. I tried learning to write like that with specialized parallel pens, and I could barely write 'Motörhead'. This kind of writing has a very specific set of rules. You never move your wrist so the plate is always at the same angle, with is about 45º diagonal to the horizontal plane , so your brush is like a /, and you can only move either up or down, or diagonally upwards or downwards, like in a 6 point star. If you look closely, you can see the guides behind, half erased, like as if it was a music sheet. I think this was like a standard of quality for scribes.

Some of the many benefits of fasting and a lower carb whole food diet on the immune system, blood pressure, blood sugar and anti-aging, all backed up by clinical data: Fribrosis/scarring is reversed. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. The hunger hormone ghrelin lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria and viruses by the immune system. Blood pressure is quickly and dramatically lowered, which is very important for a good outcome with the current pandemic. Fasting increases nitric oxide, which has manifold postive effects like reducing arterial plaque. Weight loss from fasting only loses10% lean tissue and 90% fat compared to the typical 25% lean tissue and 75% fat lost when calorically restricting for long periods. Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy! Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. Fasting is beneficial for all infections but especially for viral infections: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqPMpqmLn7SHg5I Is fasting just the same as caloric restriction? No! Dieting increases the hunger hormone ghrelin while fasting decreases it and has many other health benefits! kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYfPXqGfoc2KgsU What breaks a fast? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZK1faZ5pd2sadE When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it and builds muscle! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHu4daiZd7ypatU Fasts of several days will not affect short term female fertility and may increase long term fertility especially in women with PCOS. Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJamkJp_h5eNZ5Y The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, it never uses mainly glucose for fuel and using glucose for fuel is very biochemically damaging! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJeUm6qDl9uBrtk Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses. Fasting can make you gain muscle faster: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4OwaXqIr9h8f8k Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which also help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. Ketones also provide an additional energy source during infection, which is critical when trying to fight off a bug. In fact you can have as much as three times the total energy available in your blood when you are in deep ketosis, or even more. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention! Your body releases interferon which is also triggered by the body during viral attacks to shut down the replication ability of the surrounding cells and stop infections. After 72 hours or more fasted, your body actually recycles large numbers of immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire system. When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells. This kills these cells off completely. Senescent cells are responsible for the effects of aging and are the root cause of the development of cancer. If it were possible to destroy them all it would completely stop aging and cancer. That is not possible but fasting can help limit these effects by killing off many of the affected cells and limiting the future effects of aging. Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth, helping a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Autophagy induced by fasting even helps hair regrow. Dieters losing weight through intermittent fasting show greater reduction in waist size and increase in insulin sensitivity for the same weight lost and alternate day fasters were shown to lose fat while gaining muscle at the same time over a six month period. Fasting reverses metabolic syndrome, which is tightly correlated to Chronic Fatiguque Syndrome, high blood pressurecancer and many other chronic diseases. Fasting has been shown to increase bone marrow volume by 10% and levels of carnosine in the body in as little as a few weeks. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. Eating one meal a day can bring most of these benefits to a lesser degree, and adding a few entire days off from eating per week will have even more effect especially when starting to feel poorly. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice. There's a number of questions i have with this book. 1) Was it all bound in one go and then written on? Or were pages bound after they had been completed? 2) Haven't they actually checked the pages to see how long each page has been exposed to open air? I am sure they can age each page somehow and conclude that indeed the pages were filled out over the span of 20 years. 3) Even if it was written by a single person and the handwriting is "perfect", the ink used would fluctuate with time. There's going to be subtle differences that can tell anyone examining it just how many batches of ink it took and how long it took to fill all pages. 4) The monks that wrote the book could all have practiced a specific handwriting VERY thoroughly from the start of their monkhood. Perhaps that's why it's so "perfect", each one of them basically had a sword up their ass as they were filling a page because making any errors would have ruined a page or the whole book. 5) With number four in mind, that's probably what the missing pages are about. Mistakes were made that could not be corrected and whomever made those mistakes ate shit and died.

A bit late, but there is evidence to suggest that for some inexplicable reason, it was indeed written in a very short period of time Nearly all of the pages’ age seem to suggest an extremely tight time frame as opposed to being written over 20 or so years, and that is the non-stop one. Nearly every single page, were seemly created about the same time.

One of the basic pieces of furniture, a chair is a type of seat. Its primary features are two pieces of a durable material, attached as back and seat to one another at a 90°-or-slightly-greater angle, with usually the four corners of the horizontal seat attached in turn to four legs-or other parts of the seat's underside attached to three legs or to a shaft about which a four-arm turnstile on rollers can turn-strong enough to support the weight of a person who sits on the seat (usually wide and broad enough to hold the lower body from the buttocks almost to the knees) and leans against the vertical back (usually high and wide enough to support the back to the shoulder blades). The legs are typically high enough for the seated person's thighs and knees to form a 90°-or-lesser angle.[1][2] Used in a number of rooms in homes (e.g. in living rooms, dining rooms, and dens), in schools and offices (with desks), and in various other workplaces, chairs may be made of wood, metal, or synthetic materials, and either the seat alone or the entire chair may be padded or upholstered in various colors and fabrics.
