Michael is wrong, Meryl Streep’s character is not the villain. Andrea’s stupid boyfriend is the villain in the movie, because he only supported her when the things in the work were easy, but when Andrea start really caring about it, and she started to work harder he dumped her because she was not paying him enough attention. Meryl Streep’s character was a hard working woman who tried to teach Andrea how to get what she wants. She was the devil most of the time, but at least she wasn’t an hypocrite like the boyfriend
