I'm still so sad I got into this after return tos were out of print and early ones are getting expensive

If you move as part of a triggered ability, does that avoid the twisted paths test?
@Quick_Learner Жыл бұрын
No, you still have to take the test if you use Shortcut, Pathfinder, Safeguard, etc. The test isn't restricted to move actions.

@@Quick_Learner Dam! There's really no card in the game that will get you out of that test then?

I don't think so. Will to Survive at least avoids the token pull.

I tested many decks in the Night of the Zealot and I feel that this is awfully designed. I once captured six cultists with Roland and Wendy and lost nonetheless, because of all the other terribly designed effects of the scenario: the squids-token, the cultist-token, the +1 to all enemies, spending a ton of actions just in revealing the woods and going back to the main path. I only won this scenario once with Minh and Zoey, by stopping the ritual. Of course, you can offer Lita, if you have her, but even though, the amount of shit that the scenario unloads on you is absurd.

Yeah, we forgot to talk about the mean things the agenda does... the +1 fight/evade, spawning a Monster enemy with Doom, giving you a weakness you resolve immediately... it's all too much!

Do you think they designed this campaign to carry decks over into other campaigns? I always found it strange that experience and weaknesses are given at the conclusion.

I don't think so. All of the campaigns tend to give out trauma at the end. But I haven't really thought about it too deeply.

@Quick_Learner I think it's strange that the campaign gives out experience at the end. Like, what're you supposed to do with that unless you carry it onto another campaign.

All of the campaigns give you some amount of XP at the end if you win. It's a bit thematic, just like the trauma. Again, you can carry decks over into another campaign, but they're not designed for you to do that in the standard rules.
