In this episode Dave is down in Texas at the Rehab House working hard to finish up the project. Thank you for this video and showing what the 18ga nailer can do. I got this exact combo box and used the pancake compressor for some framing with a Ridgid framing nailer today. Performed well with the framing nailer as I was the only one using it, not a crew of 3 or 4 on a contract. As for the brad nailer box...I guess I threw the sample brad nails away. Thank you for showing the brad nailer being used. I cannot wait to try this 18ga as I am more familiar with a 16ga nailer. Thanks again.

Here’s a couple of Pro tip: 1) Leave about 2’ at corner freely, so your able to adjust. 2) Start shoemold at door casing, scarf joint by the corner. 3) Shooting using 18ga on wider material, use scissors method, better holding. Lastly, break in newly compressor, stretch out hose before plugging in, unplug hose stretch it out and roll up. Hope this help, fire away! Lol

I just bought the updated version (nailer is the exact same model, the compressor top looks a little different and has an all black handle) this past week but my nailer doesn't seem to work. I got it to put a few nails in but most of the time it just shoots blanks. WTF am I doing wrong? 😂

Thanks for watching Goblin! We'll try to give you an update on the compressor with the sound included. We use it all the time, so it's held up very well. Heck, Dave used it last night while working on our farmhouse restoration project. We can attest it is a fairly quiet machine. While its still loud, we use it at night in residential neighborhoods all the time (with the doors and windows closed so as not to disturb the neighbors) and you can only faintly hear it outside. Even this video shows Dave running the compressor at night in a residential neighborhood. We always recommend using hearing protection in conjunction with any machine, no matter how "quiet" it is. Hope this answer helped you out!

It was interesting to hear how you use the brad nailer so that was good. But as for constructive comments, the video was supposed to be an honest review of the compressor and nailer. I was interested in the compressor but you didn't really give it a review other than saying that it worked. I would have liked to hear how loud it was. My Porter Cable pancake is obnoxiously loud and I suspect that the DeWalt is too but I couldn't tell. I'd also like to know how well the DeWalt maintains the regulated pressure but you didn't show that at all either. My compressor pressure wanders around and it takes several shots before it stabilizes at the correct pressure.

So we saw the unboxing part. Where's the honest review part? Every video I click on, everyone spends a lot of time unpackaging the product, but NO ONE spends any time showing it in use, how it works or doesn't work. I'm looking to see how it works. I purchased the DeWalt Model #D55168 15 gallon air compressor and that thing is pretty much worthless. It cycles on and off all day long. I spend more time waiting for it to fill back up than I do using it. It's only good for nail guns, and even then, I can't shoot an entire rack of nails sequentially without that thing cycling on and off. And it's a 225 psi compressor. I will NEVER purchase a DeWalt air compressor again.
